MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE2+ weeks agoAgency12-17-23 UPDATE on vehicle description: 2015 to 2019 GMC Sierra heavy duty (2500 or 3500), black handles, steel rims, tow mirrors, 4 doors with tinted windows and front bumper damage. MCSO Detectives are looking for the public’s help reference a fatal hit and run collision that occurred December 10, 2023, at approximately 12:54pm on Cave Creek Road at Pima Road in Carefree, Az. A possible white, 4-door, 2015-2019 Chevrolet Silverado, 2500HD or 3500HD, OR 2015-2019 GMC Sierra collided with a motorcycle and fled the scene. Evidence found suggests the vehicle should have damage to the front end, possibly the bumper, grill, hood, and windshield. GILBERT POLICE DEPARTMENTa week agoAgencyGilbert PD Investigation Update: On April 6, 2024, just before 1 PM, Gilbert PD responded to request for a welfare check at a home near Warner Road and Islands Drive. Upon arrival, officers made multiple attempts to contact the subjects inside the residence without success. After officers gathered a substantial amount of information from the scene, a decision was made to enter the residence. Two adults, a male and a female, were found deceased inside. The male has been identified as 72-year-old Ray Janus and the female as 71-year-old Renata Janus. This is believed to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community. The investigation is ongoing and additional updates will be provided when available.3Like

Information on this investigation was originally shared with the public on June 4, 2022. Shortly after 2:00 AM that morning, 19-year-old Rachel Hansen called 911 and reported someone had entered her apartment while she was sleeping and shot her. Rachel was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Gilbert PD investigators have since been actively pursuing all leads related to this active investigation. The scammers direct people to pay fines and fees to avoid arrest and jail time. The Court does not fine people by phone for not appearing for jury duty. The Court issues failure to appear notices, and potential jurors are asked to reschedule jury service for a later date. If targeted by a jury scam, write down the phone number of the caller and then notify your local law enforcement agency.
