Hanging Lake is a small and crystal-clear lake located at the top of Glenwood Canyon, accessible via a hiking trail. The lake is known for its stunning bridal veil waterfalls and unique suspension appearance due to mossy stones that are all under water. The hike up to Hanging Lake is mostly an incline, but it offers breathtaking scenic views along the way. Visitors can take a bus up to the trailhead and enjoy viewing areas with benches upon arrival.

Wonderful hikeSnow packedSlim trailBest to have spikes or just a lotOf fervor! It was amazing. Not for the faint of heart!I arrived at 4. It was two hours total for me however I was trotting most of the way down. Lots of elevation gain so make sure you are acclimated to the elevation.Best of energy to you!

Pictures don't do it justice! Must see in person! If you are hiking in Winter, mini spikes and poles would probably be highly recommend. Be sure to take the small trail up to the left to see the spouting rock and waterfall. You can walk around behind the falls. The lake and falls are beautiful and the views down the canyon are worth the hike!

Blake Smith — Google review

Amazing hike but a challenging one if you are not an every day hiker or from the Midwest like myself. Definitely take more water than you think, wear adequate hiking shoes and take your time and multiple breaks. Worth the hike to see the views and waterfalls.

A MUST SEE! This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and well worth the difficult hike. Make sure you’re prepared with correct footwear that will support climbing up rocks and uneven paths. Make sure you get a permit in order to enter the Trail. They do check your permit in the parking lot and then there is another person at the beginning of the trail now the trail is very steep in some parts and part of it. You’re just basically walking on big rocks that they try to make it to stairs. Our family did bring some oxygen which did help since we were not used to the altitude. There are seven bridges that you cross once you get to the top it is a magnificent view one like you’ve never seen. After you take in Hanging Lake walk up to the waterfalls where you can go behind a big waterfall. It was very heavy because of all the snow melt when we were there in June if you have hiking poles, definitely bring them as they will help you going back down the trail. Use the restroom before you get on the trail near the parking lot.

We took a ski break day and decide to check out Hanging Lake. We were advised by the ranger to have micro spikes on our hiking shoes which was really good advice. The hike was short but steep so it was huffing and puffing on the ascent but scenery was beautiful and covered in thick snow despite really warm winter weather. The only tricky section was right on top, where there was railings, esp on the way down. Definitely check out the waterfall (short 200 yards trail on the left of the lake). An online permit is needed - $10/per person.

Hanging Lake is one of the most iconic places to visit in Colorado. The hike can be a bit strenuous especially if you are not used to the altitude, but it's not terrible. Just give yourself plenty of time as there are some steep areas up the hill. The lake itself is beautiful. There are wonderful views from every angle and the pictures here will last you a lifetime! Just make sure you take the time to go a little further up to Spouting Rock which is what feeds Hanging Lake and it is also a beautiful waterfall to see. I highly recommend going to see Hanging Lake at different times of the year as it completely changes with the seasons and I love it in the winter as well. Make sure you get the permit and make a day out of this beautiful Colorado gem!

The hike up to the lake was brutal but it was all worth it. The lake itself at the top was breath- taking and out of this world. The waterfall behind the lake was spectacular! I highly recommend it when you visit Glenwood Springs.

I recently had the opportunity to hike to Hanging Lake, and I must say it's one of the most amazing hikes in Colorado! The trail is moderate with a 1000ft elevation gain over just 1.2 miles, making it accessible for most hikers. One of the highlights of this hike is the stunning waterfalls that you encounter along the way. The sound of rushing water and the beauty of these falls will keep your eyes busy and provide the perfect backdrop for your journey. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need a reservation for this hike, which costs $12. This reservation system helps preserve the natural beauty of the area and ensures that it's not overcrowded. The real gem at the end of the trail is, of course, Hanging Lake itself. Its crystal-clear waters and unique geological formations make it a sight to behold. But don't stop there! After Hanging Lake, there's a quick 5-minute hike to another waterfall, and trust me, it's absolutely worth visiting. The entire experience is a nature lover's dream.Overall, if you're in Colorado and looking for a memorable outdoor adventure, make sure to put Hanging Lake on your list. It's a hike that combines natural beauty, a bit of a challenge, and the reward of discovering these magnificent waterfalls.

A hard hike but it is super cool nevertheless. The lake/waterfall is crystal clear and definitely is a must pick for your "life todo list". The only setback is that the hike is quite difficult. It's steep with many rocks so be careful! I would say it's not for inexperienced hikers.

This hike was part of my birthday trip and it was amazing! Lots of places along the hike to take breaks as needed and so worth it once you reach the top. My 6 year old hiked it no issues and my husband wore my 18lb 6 month old to accompany us on the hike. It was wonderful and so beautiful. We saw Bluejays and fish and the views are stunning. Go up another 200 yards to spouting rock where you can get behind the waterfall! Definitely an item to add to your bucket list.

Jessica Leyva Fabian — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous!!! Pictures can’t do this place justice. The hike is fairly easy and the view is very rewarding. I would highly recommend checking out Hanging Lake. It is absolutely stunning and there’s a waterfall that you can walk underneath.

Shalon Johnson — Google review

One of the best hikes in Colorado! Moderate to hard in difficulty, but nothing really technical. Just a LOT of elevation increase in a short amount of time. Taking it slowly, you can expect to reach Hanging Lake in about 1.5-2 hours, depending on how many stops you take. Be sure to go the extra 200 yards up to Spouting Rock for close-up waterfall pictures.

Christie Sears Thompson — Google review

You’ll need a permit/reservation for this hike. Reserve on the website and it’s $12/pp. It’s more convenient to get there if you’re heading East so just be mindful that there isn’t an exit for it going west. Once you exit, it’ll take you directly to the entrance where they check for your reservation. The reservation was for 3 hours which is more than enough time to do the hike and enjoy everything between the trailhead and hanging lake. The hike is 1.2 miles one way with 1000 feet of elevation gain. Bring plenty of water, especially if you’re doing it during the summer. Definitely wear a hat and sunscreen. Trail is mostly covered but lots of spots where it’s not and it was HOT! We saw Hanging Lake first then hiked up another 200 yards to see the big waterfall! It’s amazing, and a definite must! Photos can’t capture the beauty in its entirety.

An excellent place for a moderately challenging hike, with a 1000-foot elevation gain. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to ascend and 1 hour to descend. This trail is suitable for young kids too. It offers a beautiful path, and the hike's climax is truly impressive. Always stay in the track. It's definitely worth the visit. Remember to make a prior appointment and purchase a ticket. Hiking shoes & pole and enough water and snack bar are recommended.

Krabloonik, a beloved establishment in Snowmass for over 40 years, offers a unique dining experience in a cozy log cabin setting. The restaurant serves wild game and seafood dishes with stunning mountain views. What sets Krabloonik apart is its dog-sledding tours, allowing guests to combine dining with an exhilarating adventure. This makes it stand out from other upscale restaurants in Colorado.

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had!! We had so much fun, Paul taught us all about the dogs during the trip, and we surprisingly had our best meal of our Aspen trip at their town-owned restaurant afterwards (get the turkey and brie sandwich!). If you're in Aspen/Snowmass, I absolutely recommend coming here during your stay -- you won't regret it!

Why are you guys adopting our country's dogs and abusing them? You guys have adopted dogs from Korea and are using them for commercial purposes. They've gone far in search of happiness, but you're abusing that poor life. I will raise this issue Jindo dogs are not suitable for pulling sleds. You guys are clearly animal abusers.

Excellent place and an amazing family experience. The mushers are friendly the dogs are great and super happy. People who review this place negatively simply don’t understand the nature of wild working dogs. We saw nothing but a great staff working with wonderful friendly gorgeous dogs. Best of luck to you all in the future and hope the dogs get adopted.

J G — Google review

We were there on 2/14/22. What a weird experience. From the moment we walked in the lodge, it just felt odd. I now see that a lot of reports of abuse are flooding in. Seems an incident in late January is the most recent. The restaurant....whoa. What a joke. The chicken had fake grill marks. The entire "fine" dining experience is a marketing term. It isn't fine dining, I can barely consider it dining.Onto the ride, we were moving for a total of 25-35 minutes. Not worth what is being charged. The dogs have a very difficult time on the return trip. The route crosses the trails on Snowmass skiers' left (Campground), then the sled circles and starts the trek back up the mountain. We also had the pleasure of sitting on the side of the trail 20-30 minutes while we waited on the other sleds. This establishment needs serious help. From the top to bottom it seems. I see the social media accounts have been removed. Probably a smart idea.

Bo Lively — Google review

If you care at all about humane treatment of animals, stay away from.this buisness.Research Krablooik, you fill find alot of unsettling information on this buisness, from animal abuse, to running over a skier, which the owner just shrugs off.Employee with an outstanding warrant for animal abuse caught on video.

Aaron Beckman — Google review

Before you consider this place for your "excursion", be sure to google these degenerates beating their dogs. Absolutely stomach turning things happening at this place.People should NOT be supporting a place with ethics like this.Just horrible.

B P — Google review

First of all, ride a snow mobile or ski, why do you need to ride dogs for your enjoyment? And if dog sledding is "needed", then dogs should be properly treated which they absolutely do not.

Sora Stoll — Google review

It is easy to be conflicted reading reviews & numerous news articles on this place so I don’t want to write a review on what I read AFTER my experience- I did not know anything controversial about Krabloonik prior to my experience- so I can only say I experienced the best service with our musher & all of the staff. Jesus was our musher & he gave me the experience of a lifetime. He let me hop on the back of the sled & it made my experience incredible. His attitude, his service needs to he commended- that is an employee that deserves a bonus. I would say he made our experience special more than anything. Then, after we left- I saw reviews & articles. It is really convincing to be honest. But I would be a liar to say those dogs were not thrilled to take us out, happy to show us love, & filled with joy in their living conditions. I do not believe this place is being closed due to “violating their agreement in the treatment of their dogs”, but because of bad publicity instigated by PETA & then continued by their cult like supporters. I sense fake reviews in all honesty. & that comes from a complete animal lover. I have a sh*tzu-brussels griffon mix & a lynx point siamese. I would protect those doggies with my heart if I felt they were endangered. To close, I know this experience doesnt change them closing- I dont write this review to produce sales as they close within the next week- but I dont believe it is fair that they have to now carry a legacy of bad reputation.

I cannot express how disappointed we were with this place. The food was terrible, the service rude, and the dog sled tour was driven by the rudest young man.

do not go here. these people adopt poor dogs from rescue groups and other countries only to abuse them and make them pull sleds until exhaustion. when the dogs dont pull the sleds theyll kick them, stomp on them and when theyre not pulling sleds theyre kept on extremely short chains. do not support a business that abuses rescue dogs

mochi — Google review

Awesome place! The animal rights people are insane and give fake reviews. Don't fall for it. Dan loves his animals and treats them well.

Stephen Porter — Google review

This is not an easy review to write, but i willl sincerely try and do my best.I recently became aware of a senior dog rescue that paid some serious money to pull several of the oldest dogs out from this kennel, of which a couple of the dogs sadly passed away shortly after being liberated from this place. It's a shame the treatment these dogs endured, and even worse is how the owners should have desired to set a positive example of what proper treatment of the sled dogs looks like, as it seemed like a very nice operation this resturant had going... but instead, the horrors that went on regarding the suffering of their poor dogs has been unfortunately well documented. One can only hope that something good comes out of this, not too mention that I am not happy about leaving this review but on the other hand there was no possible way I could remain silent.

George Waters — Google review

This restaurant has always been a favorite of mine, and a go to place of mine every time I visited Snowmass. However, when I visited last week, I was very disappointed. I was shocked how the prices were very inflated for the quality of food and amount of food. I saw the prices on the menu beforehand, but I went anyway to introduce our friends to the restaurant. Because of this, I won’t be going back. I had the trout, and it was not very satisfying. There were six of us dining and we were trying to split the checks and we could not because their computer system was down and we had to split the checks by looking at an iPad and doing the math. The drinks did have a generous pour. There are many more fantastic restaurants in the area, particularly Aspen that has better quality food for the prices.

Jessica Holland — Google review

I do not recommend this restaurant. Our family had dinner reservations last night. We showed up, only to be told the cook was sick and they were closed. No phone call- nothing. After a quick google search regarding the dog sledding business, our family will not return!

Kimberly Green — Google review

Do NOT support this business. I’ve seen videos of the handlers kicking and abusing the dogs. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see. Especially here in Colorado. Please don’t go here. Do your research. One quick google search will tell you everything you need to know about this awful place.

Samantha Schmid — Google review

Krabloonik was an amazing restaurant! Service was amazing and food was even better. It is super cozy and tucked away. This is definitely the place you want to go to if you want a nice quiet evening. We did not do dog sledding but our server told us about it. She said the dogs love what they do and LOVE the cold even more. She said that they even sleep on their houses because they get so hot inside. They have vets and mushers that live on site all year round to care for and love these working dogs! As far as the restaurant goes 10/10 would recommend and would definitely try the mushroom soup!

Erika Tolin — Google review

I just adopted one of their sled dogs. His left leg is bent from a fracture and his nose is damaged. This dog was not taken care of. I feel awful for what they went through. How these people are not in jail amazes me.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is a family amusem*nt park located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado that features a variety of activities such as cave tours and rides. The park is known for its alpine coaster, zip line, and theater with moving seats.

Sooooo fun! We had a blast! The view is amazing! There weren’t any lines to wait in and the staff were so kind! We had Becca as a tour guide through one of the caves and it was a great tour! She was funny and very knowledgeable about all of the tour!

Great unique experience. Small mountain top adventure and thrill ride park. The thrill rides were so fun. Cave tours nice and the staff guides were so knowledgeable and engaging. Resturant reasonable, food good, views excellent. Small size of the park made it perfect for a relaxed day. Lines were not terrible. Good stop for sure.

Heather Hascall — Google review

We travel all over the country visiting as many amusem*nt and theme parks as we can. This park has been a bucket list for us and it exceeded our high expectations. We went on a perfect early summer weekday. It was a little busy and allow a lot of time to get through the process of ticketing and getting up the mountain. We bought our tickets online, but there was still a long wait to sign waivers and get on board a gondola.Once up top, you are greeted by amazing views everywhere you look. Alpine Coaster is the main draw and the lines were long. Your experience on the coaster will depend on who is going down the hill in front of you. If you like speed and adrenaline, you’ll probably come up on someone going slow. The other long wait for us was the giant canyon swing, but totally worth it. Ride it twice, one trip on each side as they both offer completely different experiences. The food and drink was great, with a restaurant kind of hidden behind the gift shop that offers great views while you eat.One thing that stood out was how friendly and eager the park staff were towards the guests. It really made for a delightful experience. We hope to come back someday, because the park must have a different look and feel as the seasons change and it would be nice to experience more!

Andy Kachelmeier — Google review

This place is a ton of fun. It starts with a gondola ride up a mountain to the park. From there you can venture to the caves which is a neat experience. Get the funnel cake fries with apples and ice cream. Super yum! There is the Alpine coaster which my 3 year old loved. We went the week before Christmas. I do not recommend this as 80% of the attractions are closed. Although this does mean you have a very small crowd so there is not much of a line for what little is open. We will come back during summer to check everything out.

Steven Cody — Google review

It was about $300 for a family of 8, it was super fun! I recommend going on a week day because the weekends would be more crowded. We didn’t stand in line for more than 15 minuets for rides. Make sure to go with kiddos that are 6+ years old or it’s not as fun. The food is reasonably priced and the ride up is super fun! We saw the caves and that was super cool too, tour guide Shae was awesome! Make sure to check out the mountain side swing ride with Thomas because he’s a great instructor for your first crazy ride! Overall a 10/10 experience!

Cayden Rose — Google review

This place is amazing. What else can you ask for?? Roller coasters on a mountain?! Dope. Would be nice if they had vegetarian/vegan options and a couple rides were closed. Otherwise, I can’t wait to come back here with my whole family. Caves were great, the coaster is SO FUN, and the tree swing is my favorite ride ever.

Ashley Daniel — Google review

Always a crowd-pleaser--visited with an extended family group with ages ranging from 2-70. Everyone had a great time with lots of options for the elementary-aged kids, the grandparents, and more challenging attractions for the group in their 20's. After our gondola ride up, we all enjoyed several trips on the Alpine Coaster--always a thrill! The 20's -30's group set off for a previously scheduled "Wild Tour" while the over 60+ group stayed with the kids. We alternated between the 2 caves tours--always informative & engaging as they are led by guides who truly love what they do--and a multitude of age-appropriate attractions for the kids, including laser tag, fossil digging, both smaller roller coasters, a small Ferris wheel and pictures with the trolls after a troll hunt. It was so nice to be able to say "yes" to everything the kids wanted to do with a Fun Day pass. After we reunited with the Wild Tour group, we had plenty of time to explore the Canyon Swing, Defiance, Crystal Tower and the Tree Swings together. The staff is always attentive and friendly and the park is just the right size to explore fully in a day. Even the rest stops in the central plaza were pleasant with live music, convenient restrooms, water bottle refill stations and sunblock. Highly recommended that you spend a day here. You won't regret it!

We have vacationed in different parts of Colorado a few times over the years, but this was far and away my favorite thing that we have done while there. Such a neat experience. The rollercoasters were fun, the restaurant was great, the cave tours were a relaxing way to get out of the heat for a little while, and the staff were all so friendly. We did go during the week so that may play into it a little bit, but the waits were not bad at all, the most that we had to wait was for the mountain coaster and even that was only around 20 minutes. Even just the gondola ride up to the top is a fun experience. We will definitely be back.

Peyton Davis — Google review

I had a fantastic visit here! Buy tickets ahead of time - get there when they open (or before!) and ride the coaster and the zip line first, before the crowds arrive! The coaster isn't much fun when you're slowed down by all the people in front of you.The proper roller coaster here - the cliffhanger - isn't much to shout about - it feels like it's about to fall apart any minute. I enjoyed more the swings, the giant swing, and the cave tours. The drop tower is definitely the most thrilling/scary - it all happens a lot faster than you would think. The weirdest thing about the park's rides in general is the overall lack of anything to hold on to to make you feel more secure. The zip line, the drop ride, overall - you have a lap belt and nothing more. I guess that adds to the thrills?I really did enjoy the cave tours a lot - King's Row is smaller and on a holiday weekend or anytime it's extra busy, it's self guided. But if you show up early or on a less crowded day, you get a guided tour. The larger system, the Fairy Caves, is always a 40 minute guided tour and it was the highlight of the day - super fun.

This was even better than I imagined it would be! To be honest, I thought the price seemed a little steep for what I expected to find. We ended up loving it so much we went twice. The views are incredible, the caves are gorgeous and have great guides, and the rides are SO fun! A perfect day of fun for the family. Get there early before it heats up, the lines are shorter too!

Brynn Hodges — Google review

We had a nice time at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. We just bought tickets to the caverns and Gondola. The caves are big and there are 2 different ones to go into. There are lots of rides up top. Definitely a fun time. You can add rides to your ticket if you decide to do it once you are up top.

Tahny D — Google review

Great little adventure park! A few big rides, some which really get adrenaline going. The crystal cavern drop was intense. Their new coaster drops you straight down before whipping around with amazing views of Glenwood Springs below.Stopped by the restaurant for a break and food. The staff was awesome.Happened to see a fire on the way down. A little scary, but seemed to have been taken care of.

Grant Mellor — Google review

Came here during the week in Summer. Arrived around 2p, so many from the morning crowd was already gone. It was still plenty of time to ride all the rides. After buying tickets at the bottom, you ride the gondola up to the main entrance. It's a small park, but there's a lot of fun rides for every age group or level of adventure. Lines weren't long at all, with most rides having no line at all. The longest wait was about 30 minutes for the Alpine Coaster which was my favorite ride. The coasters didn't have any lines. The Giant Swing was about 10 minutes and was my second favorite ride that was both exhilarating and had a great view. The tower drop didn't have a line. The Canyon Flyer was less than 5 minutes. If you don't want to do rides, there's 2 cave tours as options as a different ticket than the Funday ticket.Fun place for the family to enjoy some rides without long lines.

Sunlight Mountain Resort offers a variety of winter activities including snowmobile tours, cross-country skiing and access to 67 trails. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy hiking and biking. The staff at the resort are known for being very friendly and helpful, particularly those working in the rental area. Children's ski school is also available with instructors who take pride in teaching young ones how to ski. Visitors with little experience are able to learn more about skiing and enjoy it over multiple days.

Love Sunlight ski resort! We were staying in Aspen but heard such good things about Sunlight we decided to try them out. The price for all things was on point and us being somewhat beginner skiers we wanted something affordable. Right from the start when renting out gear the staff was amazing. They joked and had fun with our whole family and made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. The staff all around was helpful and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and out. I loved how the locals and the visitor's we're pretty much ready to talk or lend a helping hand when me or my son fell. My husband hung out on deck watching and chatting with the friendlies. The last run of the day I fell wrong and hurt my wrist, hip and knee so had my son go get help since I wasn't able to make it back down the hill. Bobby came to my rescue and helped me onto the sled and safely down the mountain. We will for sure be back and this time we'll stay and play here at Sunlight and highly recommend.

The lifts are old and slow, but no one seems to mind since you will wait in line for it for 0 minutes usually. The runs are fabulous and totally unique vs other places in Colorado. The lift tickets are also relatively cheap. This is the best place to avoid a crowd and have the mountain to yourself.

Laura Stewart — Google review

I can't say enough great things about this resort. It has everything a skiing-loving person could want, but in a low key, laid back, family friendly way. And perhaps more important, it's as opposite from the big corporate Colorado resorts as possible. It's exactly perfect the way it is. No lines, no selling your kidney for a lift ticket... just skiing on a beautiful mountain. The varied terrain is amazing and has as many challenges as one could want while skiing in the most beautiful of mountain scenery. Along with challenging terrain it has equally relaxing, pure fun, long green runs that take you though the easy route of those incredible mountains. Most importantly, did I mention there were no lift lines?

Zac R — Google review

Very friendly staff! Guys at the rental area very helpful, my best experience with ski resort! I loved the experience and definitely will come back! I can tell staff in kids school enjoy teaching kids skiing! It was nice to see how they worked with them. Overall great experience for a person with very little experience like me. I was able to learn more and enjoy skiing both days, i even went on the top on the mountain!! Views are breathtaking!!!

Victor Matus — Google review

A great "locals" ski resort! My son and I took ski lessons which were fun and exhausting. We were placed in a large group but the four instructors kept it fun and real. From the lesson window, rental store, to the lifts , the staff were helpful and smiling. The place is off the beaten path and the parking lots filled up pretty quick. There are enough slopes that it seemed like the runs were fairly empty. The lines moved quickly if there were any. Family friendly, Awesome staff everywhere and great environment overall. The prices were cheaper than the Fancy resorts nearby. If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding and not needing the frills of stores at the base then this place is a must experience.

Larry Griffis — Google review

I give this resort 4.5 stars! It would receive 5 stars if the kids in the rental shop were a little better trained. This resort shined in other areas though! First, it's very uncrowded and has some great long runs. The lifts were not the greatest but so many times I would look ahead and behind me on a run and...I was the only one there. The staff was super friendly, from the lift attendants to the lodge cafe workers to Bill in the locker office. The food was great and reasonably priced compared to other resorts. We did not have great snow unfortunately and there were some icy patches but did I mention that I had the mountain to myself many times? I improved so much. We put a 13 year old in ski lessons the first morning and not only were they super reasonable, she graduated to blues by the second day.We visited NYE weekend. The first day we arrived at 8.30 and parked right in front of the entrance. Second day we arrived at almost 10 and had a 1 or 2 minute walk. We used our Indy passes and it was super easy. Just show them at the lift ticket window in exchange for lift tickets. Only once was the beginner lift busy. Again, the lifts could themselves could be better (my boots and skis felt like 500 pound weights without foot rests) but if you want wide open spaces to ski, this is the place!

Justine Vild — Google review

Me & my significant other went to snowmobile here. We went for the longer trip (2.5hrs). It was an amazing experience. It was our first time trying. The instructors were very kind & very very helpful. They made it 10x better to be honest. Views were absolutely astonishing. The snowmobiles are very fun & fast as well.

Pablo Torres — Google review

Fun times to be had here for sure but be warned that it is particularly tricky in many places to have sufficient momentum to make it up the rolling hills that many trails take you through. I had to take my bindings off and walk in several places, several times at this resort. Still had a great day and will definitely come back

Drew Lynes — Google review

Overall experience here was a top notch!Transportation folks Greg and Scott were the kindest people. Truly a great asset to this resort.I would hire these kind of people in my business in a heartbeat. We did the snowmobile tour and our guide Ty was fantastic. When we come back next season, we hope to see these amazing individuals again. They’re behind these amazing experience.

Rifle Falls State Park, located near Glenwood Springs, is a picturesque park boasting stunning waterfalls, limestone caves and an abundance of wildlife. With several hiking trails and picnic areas available, visitors can enjoy the park's natural beauty while exploring the diverse flora and fauna that call it home. The triple waterfall is a must-see attraction within the park, along with its small yet fascinating limestone caves which add to its unique charm.

This is an awesome state park. It can be very sketchy if it is icy. Very, very sketch. But, it is beautiful. The Limestone Caves are very neat to explore. Lots of trout swimming around. Just pure beauty... and make sure to drive up the creek into the Gorge. It is better than some national parks!!

Ric Ravier — Google review

This place is awesome, the views from below, behind and above the waterfalls are breathtaking. There are caves throughout the park some are easily accessible others are a bit challenging but doable. There's several trails and some have handrails when needed. On the top their is a gorgeous pond and other scenic adventures. Entry fee is $9 for day pass or they offer state park yearly fees. Would highly recommend this place.

Lorenzo R. C — Google review

The Falls are pretty neat to go visit. I recommend going early, before 10 am, if you want a parking space at the bottom side. There is only room for 32 cars and it's very busy over the weekend. There is a little space to park up above next to the Fish Hatchery, but it's also very limited and it's a decent walk from there to the top of the falls. It will also cost $10 for the state park pass but it's good for any Colorado state park until noon the next day. That's if you don't already have a pass or the special license plate tags.

Katie Elisa — Google review

Small but beautiful park. The falls: No hiking required to view. Parking area right by the falls. There are several different viewpoints from the above, behind and below if you hike the short trail. The caves: Several small caves you can go in and one large one that goes about 90ft in. Went in at dark with flashlights. Neat experience. The campground: Very small and at the park entrance, so every visitor to the park will be driving through the campground to view the falls. As you are entering the park, the campsites on the right side have a small river behind them.Wildlife: Saw turkeys and mule deerOther things to know: 2 restrooms, no showers, free wifi access.

Leslie Lochard — Google review

Most beautiful place! The waterfalls are amazing and you can actually walk right up to it and take pictures behind the falls. Lots of parking and trails. The staff was very nice and helpful.

We have been taking the kids here for well over a decade and always have a wonderful!!! They have multiple trails and all are fairly easy to trek with the chillins throughout the whole park. We have definitely had the opportunity to camp in a trailer as well as a tent. This place accommodates both very well. Very gorgeous views the whole hike through. Also we like to hit the fish hatchery and the ice caves when we do come out this way

Ty Humphreys — Google review

Great price at $10 for a day pass for entire carload of people. Easy hiking trails for all Abilities of hikers young & old, main part of trail in front of waterfall easily wheelchair accessible, not much past that first big trail though. Caves were great for the kids to crawl through and many brought their 4 legged friends also. Overall the beauty was well worth it and wasn't too over crowded on a weekday around 11am.

Lauren Keith — Google review

I had a few spare hours while in Rifle and decided to visit the falls. It was well worth the visit.Hit up the Coyote trail for the best views of the falls. Around the base things will be crowded, but at the top and the vantage points on the way down aren't, and give you a great view of the falls. The park itself was clean and well used. Staff were very helpful, but parking may be an issue.

Zachary Hottel — Google review

Great short hike for the family. Not difficult at all. The caves were so cool. I wish I would have had a better flash light than the one on my phone. So we could have explored them a little better. The falls were really cool even late into July early August, running strong. We hiked up to the top of them to the look outs.At the top there are some ponds and I believe there is some fishing there.

Skyler Dyer — Google review

An absolutely beautiful park! Plenty of hiking trails to pick from. Not to mention the waterfalls, caves, and camping sites. Definitely a must see! And wow, the river below the falls is crystal clear....

Jeremy Upton — Google review

One of the best camping trips and it was so beautiful. Rangers and attendants were very helpful. The tent site 014 was the best one in my opinion not to far from parking lot surrounded by nature. Hiking trails were not very difficult , short and beautiful. Nice caves to explore and the trail above the waterfall was spectacular. Loved this place... Definitely want to come again and again.

Janice Sentell — Google review

This was a beautiful little gem we found in this quaint town of Rifle. We paid the 9-dollar day use fee and took the small hike to the 3 beautiful waterfalls. These waterfalls flow into a cute little fairy tale type brook. The 3 waterfalls, by themselves, make you feel as if you've been transported to Hawaii for a minute. You can easily climb/hike up behind the waterfalls to explore some small limestone caves that look pretty cool. If you continue on the coyote trail, which is up and behind the falls, you will see a little fishing pond. You can also get a fantastic aerial shot at the top of the falls. There are picnic tables around so you can bring a lunch and enjoy a nice picnic.

Brenda — Google review

Rifle Falls are such a beautiful triple waterfall that exceeded our expectations. The trail takes the hiker up to the falls then around to the top and back down to the other side. There are some really cool rock formations as well as caves along the trail. There view of the falls from each point is spectacular!

Holly Joseph — Google review

This was a wonderful surprise to find outside if Rifle. The loop walk takes you past small caves, and up to the top of the waterfalls where they have several platforms to view the gals from the top. Once you come back down there are also multiple viewing areas with great photo opportunities. The mist coming off the falls was so refreshing on a hot day.The park is clean with multiple picnic tables and overnight camping spots

Marina Veldin-Lawson — Google review

It's about 20 minutes north of the interstate, but well worth a stop if you're near Rifle, CO. We just stopped to visit the falls but they have some camping there as well. The falls were wonderful and depending on the time of day you go they cast a great rainbow. There are pit toilets for restrooms. You do have to pay a entrance fee.

Bob Johnson — Google review

We enjoyed our time at Rifle Falls state park. We hiked a couple of the trails and stood in the mist of the waterfall on a hot day. Between the sound of the water and the birds, we found the park to be tranquil. We traveled from AZ and camped somewhat close to the park at Elk Creek campground. There was limited parking, but thankfully we were able to find a spot in the last lot. There is camping available within the park, which we may try on our next trip up to the area. We're planning a return trip next year so that we can explore the park and surrounding areas more. The park has a small entrance fee - if I remember correctly it was around $10 which is well worth it if you have time to explore.

We visited Grand Mesa in August of 2023 and I am so glad we did! The weather was perfect. We stoped and walked along many of the larger lakes (there are over 300 lakes) . We entered from the South 50 to 65 . Visitor center is far in, nearly at top of Mesa first 6 of 12 mile drive was gravel rough road and the drive itself is pretty shaky. The visitor center was nice, the lakes around the visitor center were pretty. Overall nice experience but be prepared for mosquitos in the summer bring a repellent for the mosquitoes.

Very weird vibe. Was ignored in Several stores. Never greeted like other customers when entering stores. In a restaurant, not waited on or spoken to for 15 mins. ( It was not slammed & had several wait staff walking around) Even had a couple outwardly aggressive looks. Very unnerving. Later we were informed by a local the history of the town & researched the bronze statutes in the area which explained alot."Walter Walker"

The Colorado National Monument is a must-see attraction in the Grand Junction area, known for its stunning canyons, red rocks, and sandstone towers. This natural wonder offers picturesque views that cannot be missed. Take your time to explore the vast and beautiful landscape of this monument. On Day 11 of your trip, plan on visiting the Colorado National Monument before driving to Montrose.

Colorado National Monument is a great place to visit if you want to drive an area without needing to do strenuous hikes to capture the beauty of Colorado! There is a drive that lines the park and allows you to capture great shots of the park without having to go away from the car too much. There are tons of pull offs, and this is one of the best places in Colorado to capture a sunrise! I have chased the sunrise across this ridge a number of times and the sun coming over the horizon and hitting the sandstones is amazing to see in person. This park honestly looks like it is a part of Utah or Arizona, but we are lucky enough to have this in Colorado!

I was fortunate enough to visit the Colorado National Monument and Park back in February and breathtaking isn’t even a strong enough word to describe the beauty! I LOVED this place!!! I ended up getting there way later than intended but all the views were absolutely amazing. I did 3 of the short hikes for like 4-5 miles total but I would absolutely go back and do some of the harder ones with more time! The overlooks all provided so many photo ops and I love places like this where I can just sit on a rock and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I couldn’t have asked for a prettier skyline for my pics! Don’t skip this little gem. And the visitor center had lots of interesting info as well so don’t forget to spend a little time in there!

Warning, please read! I was hiking Serpents Trail yesterday 6/30 and parked my car at the parking lot at the bottom, which is also the trailhead for Devil's Kitchen (the first lot once you pass the Grand Junction entrance into the park). I was gone for about 2 hours between 12-2pm and someone broke into my car. They picked the lock on my 2023 Mazda, rummaged through my belongings, and stole my $600 drone as well as my cologne. If you're the thief and you're reading this, I hope you enjoy my $20 cologne and sleep well at night. Please make lots of money reselling my drone. I hope you have fun. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to get a new and more expensive drone; better cologne too! Other than the incident, I truly loved Colorado National Monument. I really thought an area run by the National Park Services would be safer than this...

Always a Great drive. If you need to take time to get away this is a great drive its easy to get to the price has changed so cost a bit more for trip. Be careful on the roads as bikes seem to like to race down the roads and blind corners you can not always see them. the devils kitchen hike is one of the family's favorite stops for a hike that will take a few hours after stops along the way. Many of the over looks will give you a view of the Mesa or book cliffs. there are many little hiking spots along the out skirts of the park that will give you a shorter hike and great for the small kids to enjoy a bit of exploring.

Michael Neel — Google review

This place was awesome. For the record I don’t think I’ve rated any park less than 5. Spent the morning in the park. Hiked devils kitchen and serpentine trail. It was cool to think they used to take cars up the serpentine trail. Great place to do some trail running. The devils kitchen trail starts out very well marked them goes natural and you’re on your own. It was a great couple hours hiking the two trails. Drove through the rest. Very impressive.

Definitely worth a stop! Decent hiking opportunities but this is one of those national parks/monuments that caters to those who are less mobile. Tons of pull-off and park-to-view spots, good signage describing the landscape, great visitor center, and the pictures do NOT do it justice, go experience it for yourself!

William Boland — Google review

Love this place. Love the drive up. Beautiful place with a lot of trail to enjoy. Highly recommended if you stop by Grand Junction

Claire Mazoyer — Google review

What a treat! The views and the drive are simply amazing. Photos don't do justice, experience with your own eyes. It took us about 2 hrs to leisurely cruise through the monument. Must not miss it you are in Western Colorado

Young Shon — Google review

When I was planning a roadtrip of Colorado's national parks and other similar attractions, I came across this. Two parts of me suggested we skip it, thinking maybe it might be too similar to or even less impressive than a place like Canyonlands, which we'd visited two years prior, or that because we'd be stopping by in mid-July, it wouldn't be enjoyable at all, since it's a high desert. I'm glad I ignored those two voices. While we only spent about 3 1/2 hours here, it was well worth the extra 90 minutes of driving on our trip.We entered at the West/Fruita entrance, and stopped at all but maybe one or two of the overlooks along Rim Rock Drive. Several of the overlooks offer excellent views of unique geological formations; others allow you to just soak in the beauty of the sandstone and the river valley off to the north and east. We also spent about a half hour at the visitor center, as our kids completed the junior ranger program booklets. If time were less of a factor, I would've liked to take Black Ridge Road out of the park toward Rattlesnake Canyon, as that seems to be a great, short trail to see a couple of amazing arches. And if weather were less of a factor (the temperatures were in the upper 90s the entire afternoon we were there), we almost certainly would've hiked at least a couple of the shorter trails (co*ke Ovens, Otto's, Canyon Rim, Window Rock). But it felt like over 100 degrees outside, and just getting in and out of the car and walking a short distance to each overlook was exhausting enough as it was. Maybe another time.Ultimately, this park deserves to be reclassified as a National Park. My hometown has a "national park" that's way less impressive than this.

Ryan Madden — Google review

I visited on a bright sunny, hot day. There was no wait at the entrance and the Ranger was super friendly. Most all of the overlooks on Rim Rock Road are only a very short distance from the road. There was plenty of parking, sometimes I was the only car there. Lots of beautiful canyons and views of The Grand Valley.

Terry Mead — Google review

This should be a National Park. This Monument is better than most parks and is one of the better sites in the National Park Sytem. The 22 mile drive through is amazing with numerous pull offs and viewpoints. It can be a little scary at spots. There is a good visitor center with epic views. It has trails and a nice campground. All the glory of a National Park with none of the crowds. Just outside of town it is very accessible.

Wyatt W. Penke — Google review

Located outside of Grand Junction, Colorado, the Colorado National Monument is a unit of the National Park Service that is worth a visit. We spent a few hours driving along the 23-mile Rim Rock Drive, stopping for a couple of short walks along the way. The first stop was for Otto's Trail, which was less than a mile round trip. At the overlook, you have excellent views of canyons and Independence Monument. We then drove to the Upper Monument Canyon to see the co*ke Ovens; this walk was a little over a mile round trip. We even saw a big horn sheep crossing the road, so look out for wildlife! There was more to see that we'll have to go back for on another visit. Highly recommended.

Beautiful we'll laid out museum. A lot of history in this magnificent display, and many people should see where all cars of today originated from. Pure perfection, and no flaws on any vehicle in this museum. I had many favorites within these walls. The admission was free for guests staying at the property, but the fee for non guests is very reasonable. This is a well sought out collection that all must see at least once on their lifetime. I give another 👍👍 A+!

E Hale — Google review

The drive the Grand Junction is beautiful and only about an hour. The price was discounted to only $8 as some cars were not on site. There was still an impressive amount of cars in this collection, as well as some very unique cars. I will definitely stop by again next time I visit Grand Junction.

Gordon “Gordo” F — Google review

We visit about once a year and we notice something new each time. The cars are beautifully & creatively displayed in themed rooms. Even a non-enthusiast can appreciate the artistic qualities and beauty of these classics. Never crowded. Clean rest rooms. Wonderful meals served at the on-site Paradox Grille.

Mountain Mama — Google review

A great museum with top notch cars! Definitely worth the $15 admission price, kids are free and seniors/vets are $10. There's more than one "One of a Kind" cars on display.

NOTE: This museum has closed. The cars were sold at auction. It was a magnificent collection - but it is no more. I was there on the LAST DAY before it closed. Took the pictures shown here.

Beautiful experience nice and professional employees treated us and educated us with respect and knowledge. Best place to stay at too !

Outstanding! Educational and impressive! It might be free if you're staying at the resort, but it was $15/pp if you weren't. A great collection! We were a little bummed that the Duesenberg car wasn't there; we heard it was getting a new radiator. The museum said all the cars were drivable. Great stop in some beautiful canyons!

Pretty amazing to have access to an auto museum on the resort property. One that has such cool and rare cars. The caretaker was informative and super helpful.

The star attraction of Arches National Park in Moab, UT is the sandstone landmark known as Delicate Arch. It can be seen from both a trail and an overlook. The hike up to the arch is labeled strenuous but it's not too difficult, although it is quite long. It's best to arrive early since there's little shade and it gets crowded quickly, making it difficult to find parking or take photos without strangers in them.

Unique hike, it can be difficult some parts but it will be worth it, if visiting on summer bring lots of water and hat for shade.I find unique to visit on winter as not too many people and breath taking views and pictures to take.Make sure stay on the path and don’t adventure outside of it, you don’t want to get bitten by an animal or get lost.Be adventurous and respect nature.

Miguel L. — Google review

Beautiful views while hiking to delicate arch and while by the arch. Many good pictures can be taken there. The hike is about 3 miles long which will take about an hour and a half. Bring lots of water especially when the weather is super hot as you will be sweating a lot from the heat of the desert.

Damian Panek — Google review

Very cool place! Iconic! Cool see the utah license plate in person!! The hike wasn't too bad, it was busy up at the top but a good hike overall. Took us an hour and a half total to get there and back.

Jacob Gwilliam — Google review

The Delicate Arch Trail hike is an absolute gem! The scenery is breathtaking, and the arch itself is a marvel of nature. The trail is well-maintained, making it accessible to hikers of various skill levels. This hike is a must-do when visiting Arches National Park.

Hiro Eda — Google review

This was an amazing hike with views that will forever last in your mind!! The weather was perfect in February but I personally would not want to do this hike in the dead of summer.

Tammy Spearman — Google review

Oh the wonders of nature! Definitely worth the somewhat difficult hike. We went around late September and it’s still pretty hot.Things to note:✔️Parking is tight. Be sure to come early to beat the huge crowd.✔️The terrain is dusty, it’s sometimes slippery with many uphills and downhills. With sudden drops! But it’s still relatively easy✔️There are beautiful spots for photo op, not just the lovely arch. Be sure to explore around the area. Just be careful for those sudden drops✔️Bring enough water, food, sunscreen. Walking sticks are optional.Still worth one’s time. It’s a rock paradise really..

JM Sinense — Google review

Delicate Arch is a great hike to do with the family and friends. I recommend doing this hike early or later in the evening when temperatures are cool.I’ve done it around noon in the summer and it was quite tiring. Unless you’re looking for a challenge which that’s perfectly fine.Be aware that kids will get tired be sure to bring water, sunscreen, take plenty of breaks and enjoy the views.

TEA REX — Google review

The trail started out easy, but once we hit the rock face and started climbing up it was difficult. The climb once you get past the uphill portion isn't bad, but being from a near sea level state we struggled to breathe at times. We took it slow and carried plenty of water with us. I'd recommend hiking boots and a water bladder for the trip. The top was quite crowded since we hiked at sunset, but we found people quite respectful of everyone else. People stood in line and took turns taking photos of people under the arch. While crowded it was a nice atmosphere of people enjoying nature.

Jessica — Google review

The lower viewpoint is easy to get to but the hike up is totally worth it. I went for sunrise, and did lose the trail a bit walking up at night, but aside from a steady incline it was not challenging and offers some great distance shots of other arches by windows. It was cloudy that morning and the arch isn't really situated for sunrise so sunset might be better. Expect crowds anytime, on labor day weekend there were probably 40 people waiting by sunrise. The arch is lovely but don't neglect the surrounding views either!

Kevin “TheGentlemanWalrus” Harris — Google review

This is my second time visiting the Arches National Park and seeing the Delicate Arch and I'm still in awe. It is definitely worth the hike. Just be careful, bring lots of water and shade is very limited, if any at all. This is one of the most popular arches, so parking may be limited depending on the time of day because of the crowd.

Rosallainne Rosalita — Google review

Sunset is legit, but get there early. Its possible to make it up in under an hour but its 40° up a sandstone rock for about a 1/4 mile and very crowded. Still nice though. Definitely worth getting the iconic utah pic

brandon wright — Google review

This review is for Delicate Arch Trail which was a ~3.2 miles round trip that took ~1.5 hours to complete.Steady inclines throughout the trail. Once the trail changes from dirt to rock; follow the trail markers. Stunning views of the arch and the surroundings.Short video of the hike for those interested! https://youtu.be/5zibZuQDjo4

Ed — Google review

The hike was amazing! The climb at the beginning is strenuous, but the rest of the way is fun and beautiful. The arch view is so worth the climb. We did it with our 4 year old and he really enjoyed it. We did it Mid November and the weather was perfect.

Marisela .Alcantar — Google review

Absolutely worth the hike (even if it is 106° out). Make sure to bring water and the trail will kind of disappear at some points so try to go during the day unless you have a great sense of direction.

Brian Betsill — Google review

Beautiful hike, I saw people of all ages hiking it. I would definitely recommend bringing more water than you think is necessary just to have it. As you go up it gets hotter and hotter. I would hike up this again in a heartbeat it was amazing! You need to get a ticket in advance to get in to the park, so i would recommend signing in to the ticket thing at 5:55 and reloading at 6 to get your ticket because they go fast. It cost $2 to get the ticket. Then when you go to the park itself you will get a day pass. I think it cost $30 but I have a parka pass so I could be a little off with the day pass cost!I would also recommend going in the morning because then you can exit and renter the park all day after! Their are hikes for kids and experienced hikers here! Definitely spend a day in the park!

Gaia Bachar — Google review

Amazing creation of Mother Nature. Many of us might have seen this Arch as our windows wallpaper, i saw them through my own eyes. It takes around 1.6 miles of hike to reach the arch from the parking lot. It is worth the hike the views on the way are breathtaking. Would suggest visiting the arch early in the morning or in the evening. The hike through some steepest climb could be little difficult for some would suggest wearing a good pair of hiking shoes and drink lot of water. Definitely recommend visiting the arch. Take care of your glasses and caps this place is very windy. Be ready to be blown away

Biswanath Das — Google review

What an amazing creation!!! If you plan to visit the park before October 31, make sure you have your reservation otherwise you will not be able to get in. We scheduled it for 8 am and it was perfect because by the time we got up there there was hardly anyone at the delicate arch. We took so many amazing pictures. It’s totally worth the hike.

Ana Garcia — Google review

We hiked Delicate Arch with our 2, 4 and 9 year old. It is possible to hike with small children. Our visit was Monday, 2/19, with ample parking at approx. 11:15AM. The trail wasn’t loaded and it was a warm 66°. At first I worried we would be able to do it with our kids but with surprise we made it to the arch. If you’re taking small children just keep ahold of that hand and all should be fine. Our 2 year old hiked 90% of it holding my hand. I carried her the last little bit because that last part of the trail right before the arch is SCARY! It’s not an easy hike but it isn’t impossible. Definitely take plenty of water and a snack or packable meal to enjoy at the top. It’s a beautiful view and worth every step to it.

The Landscape Arch in Arches National Park is the longest sandstone span, measuring 290 ft. It can be reached via the Devils Garden trail, which offers a choose-your-own-adventure experience with seven different arches to see. These include Partition, Navajo, Double O, Private, Pine Tree, and Tunnel Arches. For a shorter hike of just 1.9 miles, visitors can reach the Landscape Arch - believed to be the world's longest natural stone archway.

Excellent hike! Such great views during the whole thing. The Arch is even more impressive in person. While we were there the ice on the trails was manageable without traction devices but I would recommend having them at least.

Sean Moore — Google review

The trail path to Landscape Arch is flat and boring, but the views make it worth it. You get to see the easy part of devil's garden, and the don't miss it before it breaks Landscape Arch.Although short and easy, summer heat can make this tail quite hard. I did it at 3PM, after Fiery Furnace, and my kids had a hard time getting to the end. Maybe I shouldn't have made them take the detour to Tunnel and Pine tree arches.

Alfonso Palacios — Google review

Nice hike of the first part of the fill devil's garden loop. About 1.8mi to the arch and back. Trail is easy, mostly flat with some inclined areas. Winder afternoons the trail can be chilly as it gets shaded by the rock walls.Parking available but will get filled quickly in peak times. Bathroom at the trailhead.

Jamila — Google review

This is a great trail to take the family on. It would seem to be wheelchair accessible as most of the trail has been paved. I remember when the trail used to go up closer to Landscape Arch, but I can definitely understand why they have pushed the trail further back and fenced it off. Nobody seems to listen to the whole "stay on the trail" markers. Very frustrating. But overall this is a great and easy trail for anyone. Very picturesque. You can continue on the trail and see more arches from there if you'd like. There's not a lot of elevation difference so the trail stays relatively flat the whole time and makes it a good trail for kids. There is also a restroom at the trailhead.

A Plaizier — Google review

It's a nice arch, biggest span in the park I believe. The Devil's Glen Trail leading to it is very nice. I went late in the day, and the sun was behind the arch making it very difficult to see. Better to do this hike in the morning.

Michael Williamson — Google review

This was amazing. I had a buddy who was here in 2007 and I sent him a picture. He says it is in the exact same shape. How could this thin piece of rock not be eroded away in this time? Simply created well. I got a great pic from the primitive trail. Just walk down a bit until you see it clearly.

Jerry O'Connell — Google review

Plan to visit the Pine Tree Arch, Tunnel Arch and the Landscape Arch. It's worth the hike and you will be amazed. The rock formation is mind blowing. It got extremely windy and we couldn't walk for like 10mins due to dust storm. Secure your hats!!

Pruthvi Ks — Google review

Where's the hike but take plenty of water and use sunscreen. Most of the hike is on hard surface but it plenty of ups and downs and hardly no shade and the current 100+ degrees makes it that more difficult. When you do finally make it to this famous arch there is very fine sand trail which makes the last push to see the arch in all its grandeur a bit difficult for some.

Manuel Ortiz — Google review

Landscape Arch is incredibly beautiful at sunrise. The arch is very thin and the longest arch in the park. The trail is well use and not dog friendly. Don't forget to pack plenty of water, sunscreen, and wear a hat!

Stormy Concoby — Google review

A must-see in Arches National Park!We hike to this arch on our way to the Double O Arch. The trail is very easy to this point.

David Lobree — Google review

If you're able & you brought lots of water do the entire Devil's Garden trail, you will not be disappointed. One of the best hikes in Utah imo.

Juston Ling — Google review

1.9 miles out and back. 252 ft elevation gain. Get here early and see the magic of the Sun. Fun hike. But don’t stop here keep going to Double O Arch.

Arches National Park is a picturesque area that offers camping and a variety of hiking trails with breathtaking red rock views and over 2,000 stone arches. If you have limited time, some must-see highlights include the scenic drive through the park with short stops at iconic spots like Balanced Rock, Double Arch, The Windows, and Park Avenue viewpoint. For an unforgettable hike, make sure to explore the Delicate Arch trail which also showcases remarkable rock art.

Breathtaking place. Amazing to visit with a family, solo trip, or as a couple. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. It gets very hot very quickly here. We visited in March 2022, before the time entry was implemented, but during spring break and yes it was very busy here, especially on the weekends. If I'd visit again would pick a different week, away from holidays, weekend, and target either spring or fall, it seems gets little too hot during summer time here. Overall loved it experience. Kids were so excited about all the trails. Most of the attractions are a very short hike. Some are little more advanced. I would recommend at least a week here. Alternating Canyonlands and Arches is best to give some rest.

Sasha Stewart — Google review

Gorgeous. Spent half a day there on our family road trip out west. Definitely hope to make it back and spend more time. They do timed entry for an hour window. We were 6-7am, and at 6:36 we pulled right up to the entrance booth no waiting. By the time we left between 11 and noon, the lines were really long. Daughter participated in a ranger led program at the visitor center and loved learning about the grasshopper mouse.

Arches National Park, located in Utah, is renowned for its over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, stunning red rock formations, and diverse landscapes. It's a photographer's paradise with vibrant colors, and it offers a range of outdoor activities, including hiking and rock climbing. While some iconic arches are easily accessible, the park also provides opportunities for adventure and exploration. Don't forget to visit during sunrise or sunset for the best photo opportunities.

Sargam Bansal Dhodi — Google review

Better than expected. Great paved roads with lots of turnouts for taking photos all through the park. Lots and lots of different rock formations and things to see. Plan about 3 hours to drive through and see the whole park with some stops, but more time if you want to hike up to several of the rocks to get closer or explore more. Nice visitor center explaining a lot about the formations.

Brett Larkins — Google review

What a beautiful National Park!! It was busy both days that we went, but that is expected. Many viewpoints or arches are just a short walk from the parking lot. This is a very family-friendly park because of the easy access. The park and restrooms were immaculate. We got to see several arches/viewpoints within few hours of being in the park.

Matt Zigler — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous landscape. There are tons of hikes to do, from super easy, to challenging. It’s a landscape photographer’s dream. I’d recommend going during the month of February, as it’s better hiking temps and way less crowded. I was able to get pics of every arch WITHOUT people in them! I’d absolutely recommend you go here if you’re into great hiking and scenery!

Ashley Fountain — Google review

Amazing views! The rock formations, and Arches are absolutely beautiful. Scenic drive with several viewpoints, and trails from easy to more challenging but well worth it for the views. Restrooms available in each parking lot, and some also have picnic tables with shade. The visitor center has restrooms, gift shop, film and presentations about the park, and free filtered water faucets. Bring plenty of water, and food/snacks for the trip.

AnaP Almeida — Google review

Amazing National park that you have to visit! The hikes are so fun and kid friendly. The rangers seem to love their job as they are very helpful and upbeat with any question you may have. The visitors center is a fun place as well. You get to learn more geology magic! All in all it’s an amazing breathtaking park that you won’t regret visiting!

Daniel Salinas — Google review

Amazing area! Easy access for most areas. One Arch was a semi tough up hill, but so awesome! The Delicate Arch is a 2.5 to 3 hr. hike. There's other options to see that Arch though. Loved it all so much!! Was a great day!!

Deborah Foister — Google review

Awesome stop! Driven by without stopping too many times. It’s well worth the stop and make sure you save time to hike a bit to the different points of interest. Most all the hikes are very cool in my opinion. I look forward to exploring more next time. Highly recommend

Nick Pastore — Google review

We loved our visit and the trails and beauty of the park. It was fascinating to see the sculpted arches and balancing acts that defy gravity. I would highly suggest the visit and plan to return with my family to take in the scenery!

Josiah Dahlstrom — Google review

Awesome, must see National Park. Driving with short hikes works well, but next time, we will be taking one of the many available guided jeep tours to see many more arches not visible from the road. Mother nature has certainly worked her wonders here.

Herbert Wohlf — Google review

Wow... what a really cool park. Absolutely gorgeous rock formations line the entire park. There is some walking required and some of it is a bit technical. However there are some really good overlooks even just from the roads. Exceptionally neat place to visit.

David Berry — Google review

Beautiful park. $30 ticket (car) buys you 7 days access after 4pm. Between 7a-4p you pay $2 extra to reserve a slot on the website. The rangers are friendly. The whole park is well maintained and all of the visitors were polite and respectful. In September the weather was gorgeous and the temperature wonderful. Low humidity, lots of shade options, 70s.It’s about 15 miles in and then back out on the road. Lots of scenic pull offs. Lots of hiking and even a campground option.Highly recommend if you like breathtaking beauty, camping, hiking or any of these. The restrooms were composting toilets but throughout Utah they have all been exceptionally decent with no unpleasant odors or uncleanliness. Makes the whole experience more pleasant.Recommend going outside of the reservation times. The movement of the sun makes every view change before your eyes. The shadows are dramatic and beautiful.

Deepak Jain — Google review

An amazing national park! Wonderful views, easy access, plenty of different trails and options to explore. This park is amazing part of Utah. The nations park pass is a must !! You definitely need a day at least to explore and be able to see the sunset and stars ! A just for all to come and visit !

Anton Mendez Guzman — Google review

If you're going to go to this national park, try to stay the night camping in the Devil's Garden campground. The sun rises are amazing. You can also take short hikes in nearly any direction. If you go off season, it is easy to find a spot. I expect during peak season, you had better have a reservation.

Best trail we’ve run to date. Every bit as challenging as the ratings say, but soooo much fun. Very manageable if you want to make it easy (moderately) and insanely difficult if you’re up for it. Took us nearly six hours because we stopped a lot to look around.

Daniel Pothier — Google review

Also had a great time here with my 54 Willys. Thought my son was trying to collect some insurance money but I lived so I guess not. First time off roading and it was a great experience.

Awesome trail! Took our four runner up it, 3 inch lift, basically stock. Most parts of the trail were easy to traverse, we didn't make it up hells gate, maybe next time! Ended up joining up with a bunch of guys from Wisconsin, sorry friendly, definitely more fun being with a group, and much safer!

Erik Berry — Google review

Fun trail to run, we bypassed some of the obstacles like Mickey’s hot tub and Hell’s gate, probably will come back to run those when we are with a group, definitely recommend this trail!

Brandi Oldaker — Google review

I have run this trail every year for the last decade, it's always the first trail i hit when getting to town, and the first place i take new visitors. spectacular views, some challenges, but everything has a bypass. this is a trail not to miss.

eric tomorrow — Google review

Amazing views and it was an adrenaline rush from start to finish! We rented 2 seater stock RZR 1000s and they were great on this trail. We didn’t do the more difficult obstacles like hells gate or the escalator. The RZR did fine with Mickeys hot tub though. Hells Revenge and Poison Spider Mesa were our two favorite off road trails in Moab.

The zoo boasts beautiful animals, including alpacas, raccoons, and camels. The attraction is easily recognizable from afar thanks to the large jeep on top of the rock.

I like that this is an iconic place. You can see this from far away. But boy when you are there it is huge. The jeep on top of the rock is awesome. This is a very nice place to visit. Go in the shop and get yourself a nice fridge magnet. There is a good feeling being there. I like that stop.

A cute tourist stop. There was something for everyone, but the best was the tour of the Hole in the Rock house ($6.00). It was created by an eccentric but talented couple that had a vision and went about making it a reality. Their craftsmanship and ingenuity are truly admirable. There was a petting zoo ($4.75), gift shop, trading post and General Store. There were lots of quirky items scattered around the property to add to the whimsy. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Fun roadside attraction with so much to see. The animals were fun to feed, and the camel gave you a kiss. It did cost extra to get a bucket of food to feed the animals, but fun nonetheless. We did go on the tour of the inside on the homestead where you can not take pictures. It was a great short tour, and the other displays, zoo, and gift shops were fun as well. This really is a fun stop. You do have to pay for the tour inside the home, but it was fun and cool to see.

This is such a great little place. We had driven by several times but just this Monday we decided to stop and it's now one of my favorite places because of the beautiful animals they have at the zoo. It's a small fee to go visit the animals and I highly recommend it, they have a camel, racoon and some insanely cute alpacas. They have nice jewelry as well.

Came here as a kid and wanted to check it out as an adult. Stopped by to check out the store (didn't have time for the tour, which I'm sure is pretty cool). Lots of fun items, but I was looking for more merchandise with "Hole 'N' The Rock" on it as coming here as a child was a fond memory, but they didn't have a whole lot. I suggested they get shot glasses with it, a deck of cards and other common collectibles that tourists would like to have in memory of it. They did have a mug with the actual name on it so I bought 2. But there was lots of jewelry, some cool hunting knives, and other things. They also have a petting zoo, and another gift shop (that was somewhat low on stock of items [mostly Native American themed]) and a separate quick mart.If your passing by or are in the area I'd suggest stopping by. I did lose cell reception in this area so just be aware your carrier might not work here & plan ahead.

Kyra R — Google review

I really enjoyed seeing the lovely hand-carved cave home, and the site also has a few stores with snacks and knickknacks. The petting zoo is fun for kiddos but not wildly exotic. My only complaint was how they rush you through the tour and don't allow any photos (presumably to keep you going speedily). It's a 15-minute tour and we felt like the guide whittled that down to get us out.

We've driven past a few times & never had time to stop. I'm so glad we did! Trading Post, General Store, Petting Zoo, and even have guided tours! Clean restrooms, lots of nostalgic, novel signs and decor. Fun stop! Highly recommend!

Fun stop along Hwy 191!We spent a bit of time checking out the displays. There are a lot of very creative, clever ones!Be sure to check out the unique home in the rock. The restrooms were clean.

I love roadside attractions and this one is a gem! The home is unique and has a great story to go along. The outside area is great for kids of all ages and you might just find a zoo tucked in somewhere. All in all, 2 thumbs up!

Friendly, helpful staff, cool collection of bumper stickers, pins, photos, souvenirs. There's also a petting zoo & tours. Kids can pose on the giant jeep. I didn't tour, pet animals or pose on the jeep (I did take a pic of mine for "bragging rights" tho', 😁😎). But I did enjoy a cold juice & the beautiful scenery.

This place is a must to check out if your in the area.. Absolutely amazing tour through a home that was carved out of a massive rock.. unfortunately there was no picture or video taking inside.. However there are lots of great things to photograph outside..definitely recommend stopping by and talking the tour.. glad I did

Nice stop over point with good souvenir shops and a mini zoo (no patting)They charge you if you wanna get into the zoo and if you wanna feed the animals it is 5 for a small bucket and 10 for a big oneThe other side was a 12 mins tour to the caveI will consider this place a good stop if you have kids

Park

The Dead Horse Point State Park is a natural wonder in Cliffside park that offers visitors the chance to camp, hike or bike on the trails, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Colorado River. The park features an iconic lookout point that should not be missed. From there, visitors can drive through Canyonlands National Park and stop at various scenic overlooks to take photos or go for a hike.

The view was phenomenal! We went with a bunch of friends too and we took a lot of photos. I would definitely suggest going here with the family. The views are killer! There is also biking and hiking trails that you can go on. You just need to be careful because some areas don't have any railing or stuff like that.

James Bastedo — Google review

A great stop and so worth the 20 $ entry fee. I did the east west rim trail which is a loop during the sunset and it was very good. Start with the west rim. The trail over a long weekend was relatively empty and peaceful, probably due to the cloud coverage. The trail has some nice look out points which are worth stopping and spending a while. I would say it is family friendly and an easy trail with barely much elevation gain but do water.

Binit Banerjee — Google review

If you go to Moab, go to Dead Horse Point State Park! This place is absolutely stunning. Arches is great and so is Canyon Lands, but we almost missed Dead Horse Point thinking it wouldn't be as good... We were dead wrong. This place is something else. We went at sunset and it took our breath away. Our kids were able to walk around albeit with a death grip on their hands (very steep drop-offs).All in all, don't miss this place. It was probably our favorite stop in the area.

Mark Beddes — Google review

Spared a few hours on a long road trip to visit. And it was worthwhile.Great views over the Mesa. Interesting colours and shadows. The trail walks are suitably 'dangerous' near the cliff edges so watch out.The Schaefer trail looked good - just too little time.

Oakwood Welsh — Google review

It was a 40 min scenic drive from arches national park. We did the west rim trail after a snow storm and loved hiking in 2-3” soft and fluffy snow. A few places were slippery but overall wonderful hike. Kids loved it.

Santosh Tiwari — Google review

Many people come here to share the maze of red rocks and canyons. They look like the Grand Canyon only in a smaller way. The trails along the rim are short, pleasant and extremely charming, and at the same time it is extremely quiet and you can hear the wind and the birds fly. I would highly recommend

Jacek Roginski — Google review

Stunning views and a great place. The visitor shop is set up nicely, and the prices are fair. There are several mountain biking trails along the drive in. Entrance is $20 and there are lots of options for hiking or biking. The scenery is well worth the price

Super great experience. Had the luxury of being toured by the park rangers along with the clients I was chauffeuring. The park rangers are smart and very knowledgeable on the surroundings and the gift shop was amazing

This is a beautiful Utah state park. We drove our RV up here to practice since it's only 1.5 hours from home. We didn't have any problems parking at the Visitor's Center or the overlook at the end. The views are gorgeous and the edge's are very scary. You could literally fall from many parts of the trails, so pay attention! :-) Restrooms were in great shape - see photos.

What an absolutely amazing experience and park WOW! This is an absolute must see experience for everyone, especially families. The views are just simply beautiful and amazing. Stunning views from approximately 7,000 feet make for stunning pictures that you will never forget

Louie Garcia — Google review

Worth the stop even if you’re just passing through. The view reminded me of a smaller Grand Canyon, which seems odd to say considering how wide and deep the canyon still is.The main overlook has a nice covered area that offers lots of shade as you take in the views. And the short path leading to it is paved for easy access.Make sure you stop by the visitors center and checkout the dinosaur footprint out front. One of the clearest foist prints I’ve seen.

Julia Jutras — Google review

Beautiful park with large sites in a quiet area. Despite us arriving on the sage weekend as hundreds of motorcycles - attending the Thunder Valley Rally - we’re still enjoyed the park. Close to Cottonwood’s restaurants, grocery stores and Sedonas.Camp host was exceptional. Bathrooms were pristine.

Really nice park. Great place to just come and relax, and be one with nature. The park design is very reminiscant of Frank Lloyd Wright type architectural design. Amazing views of the Colorado River and back side views of the canyons in Canyonland National Park.

Just finished an 8 day Grand Canyon Float with CRATE and it was probably the coolest thing I have ever done!!! CRATE and their guides are top notch in every way. Would not float with anyone else!!! I highly recommend CRATE!!!

Matthew Vestal — Google review

I can't correctly describe our experience with CRATE. We just got off a 4day row /ranch trip with Sebrina as head of crew and KC or Cassie as our row guide. I came to row so I chose to row as much as possible. IT WAS FANTASTIC! IT WAS AMAZING! It was something I will never forget and something I intend to do every year until my bones push up daisies! The best rafting trip and crew I have ever been on... Thank you!

Did 6 day women's solstice raft on green river. Great experience. Ģuides were superb - accomplished boatmen as well as great cooks, fun to be with. Good hikes with local interpretation. Very accommodating for All fitness levels. I recommend this company highly. They couldn't be nicer or more sincere. The scenery is spectacular and there are good wildlife watching opportunities.

Miriam Dunne — Google review

Wow, I cannot say ENOUGH how amazing CRATE was for my August 2018 trip. I've always wanted to raft the Grand Canyon and I couldn't imagine doing it without this family-owned company. From the amazing pre-trip orientation with Bonnie at our hotel in Vegas, the comfortable bus ride out to Fredonia and of course our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Boat Captains, Walker, and Johnny Ringo, but our Swampers were out of this world too, Yendor, Nayr and Robbie. These folks made our trip truly life-changing, interesting, and fun from the minute we met them at the warehouse. Not ONLY were they completely patient with those on our trip who weren't used to rafting, but they answered every stupid question un-related to rafting that we had-about the animals, their personal lives, stars, planets, their best stories, nothing was off limits with them. Walker's knowledge and obvious passion for the river and his stewardship of the Colorado and the Canyon are apparent in every conversation and action. His ability to make you feel completely comfortable with him from the first minute you meet him, and to make the canyon feel as much like home to us as it is to him, is one that not many have. Johnny Ringo, well, if you've met the man then no explanation needed :D A great personality and hilarious, sometimes subtle, sense of humor and his obvious geology nerdery made his boat fun for all. The fact that he too embraces a costume at camp made us kindred spirits. Yendor, Nayr, and Robbie-the best swampers we could have asked for! Always willing to help, always willing to laugh and so helpful with all the things. The side trips, the waterfalls, the hikes, the out-of-this-world-couldn't-possibly-be-real views, the histories, the connection to place...all happened because of the care that CRATE puts into and behind their business. You know that it is a passion for them first and a business endeavor second. EVERY thought was taken care of: comfortable cots with sleeping pads/bags, ground cover, chairs with backs and MY GOD THE FOOD! I don't eat that well when I'm at home, never would have expected I would eat better/more while on a secluded river trip. There's not enough that I could say about this company, they are amazing in every sense of the word and I cannot wait to get back on to the river with them! And awaaaaaaaaay we go!

Newspaper Rock State Historical Monument is a small Utah landmark that boasts a rock panel adorned with an extensive collection of petroglyphs. Located on Highway 211 en route to the Visitor Centre, it is worth taking a break from driving to appreciate the vast emptiness of the area. Unlike Arches and Canyonlands, Newspaper Rock offers a unique environment and appearance. Visitors can explore the trail and learn about ancient civilizations that once inhabited the region.

This is a drive from Moab, but I will say, it is well worth the trip!! The environment and look of the area is so much different than Arches and Canyon lands. Get out of the car at news paper rock, it is very impressive, drive to the end and walk the trail, learn about the people that live so long ago!!! Might be the best part of Canyon Lands National Park!!

Shawn Stiner — Google review

There is nothing better than to explore our History. This is a beautiful spot to hang out, have a lunch or to hike around. Newspaper Rock is amazing and the first time I saw petroglyphs live. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do. Go have fun and learn! Perfect for a family outing.

C. M. — Google review

So. Cool!! I’ve never seen petroglyphs before and this was amazing. It almost didn’t look authentic. It was a lovely stop. There’s a restroom and it was pretty quiet when we were there so we stayed as long as we wanted to. We got lovely photographs with no one else in them and that was wonderful and unexpected. We highly recommend a stop here. It was one of our favorites in 3 parks. Or between. lol

Kelly Heimlich — Google review

Was in the area, went to see these amazing petroglyphs. 2000 yrs old and so clear and basically untouched. It's pretty awesome. I missed the turn the first time kind of sneaks up on you and had to make a u turn. Definitely worth the stop, also saw some colorful leaves for fall!!

Jason Burlingame — Google review

They're old, but no one knows (or can test) how old. Don't ask their meaning, no one knows. Merely appreciate how difficult it is to make images on rock, and appreciate their endurance through the centuries. Have a visit, don't disturb them or make your own graffiti and enjoy!

Mike Wise — Google review

Absolutely incredible witnessing petroglyphs. It’s heartbreaking to see that people have vandalized it by writing their initials along the rock or drawn on it, but people will be people. Please help preserve history and do your part. Highly recommend visiting this area and witnessing this spectacle. It was massive and made me want to step back into history with them.

Madison Taylor — Google review

Pretty awesome when you consider how old it is.Certainly view if passing - may not be worth a long trip out as limited thing to see.

Another jump back in time hanging with the ancients! A beautiful drive right outside Canyonlands National Park, Moab and more. It gets HOT in the summer. Have lots of liquid on hand. We went in the fall and the trees were magnificent!

Way cool to see in person! We were there a week ago in Feb and not another soul there.. got to really spend time looking at them :)

Great spot especially if you're interested in Native American history or just "ancient" stuff in general. Sad to see that people have defaced the wall with their names and other drawings. I was most fascinated by the kid/adult footprints and "monster men" drawings.

An historical site.Ancient drawings on 'desert vanished' rock. The description plaque is unsure of the origins of the depictions. These may be notes or directions left for those following.Ideas or memories to share with like travelers, or merely artwork to be shared.Think of a community bulletin board.Interesting and thought-provoking.A few recent scratchings by twerpigans. Interesting collection of petrogliphics in their natural environment. Really worth a visit if you're in the area, it's a short 12 mile detour from the main road. The site could do with a bit of maintenance and the restrooms smelled terrible even from a distance. Otherwise a pleasant experience

Mesa Arch is a well-known sandstone arch that provides an iconic view of the red rock canyon landscape during sunrise. Visitors should plan accordingly and obtain a map at the Visitor Center because Canyonlands has three distinct areas that are not accessible all at once due to canyons. For those with limited time, it is recommended to visit only the main attractions in the Island in the Sky area. The attraction includes multiple viewpoints and hiking trails for visitors to explore.

Mesa Arch is a beautiful formation in Canyonlands National Park. It's an easy hike from the turnout, with a breathtaking view of the canyons below. It wasn't very busy when we went there, so there were plenty of good spots for both landscape photos and taking pictures with friends and family. Just be sure that you have a ample amount of gas in your vehicle and lots of water in your bottle and you'll have a good time. Kids also tend to get caught up in playing with the sand on the way to the arch because of the nature of the trail, so give yourself time to get there.

Wendell Loh — Google review

This is gorgeous. This is the most famous attraction in the canyonlands national park. This is very famous for sunrise viewing. However, we went later on the day, and it’s not less gorgeous. The hike was not difficult, took me 15-20 minutes o guess to reach. The final view point is a massive arch at the cliff. The view from there is incredible. Don’t miss if you are around.

Debisree Ray — Google review

Did this short easy hike at 5 am in the morning for sunrise. Took about 30 minutes round trip. Worth the view. However, as you can see from one of the photos and the video, it is CROWDED. You’re looking at 20-40 people crowded around this arch. Be prepared to get there early if you want a good seat for the sunrise. If you’re seeking solitude to see the sunrise, this is not the arch for you.

Aliza Brown — Google review

This is an a cool place to stop. The arch is scenic and has good views of the canyon below. The crowds tend to block the view.

1st "arch" I get to see in Utah!.. Amazing area and views. Easy 15-20 minute hike. Went in January, so I was alone at the site for hours for pics!.

Go to the left at the fork! It's less busy and beautiful. Cute little loop to get to a beautiful small archive beware of the MAJOR drop offs near the arch and keep your kiddos close!***If you liked my review or found it to be helpful give it a thumbs up. 👍 thanks!

Camille — Google review

Sooooo gorgeous! We went at sunrise. It’s an easy 10 minute hike from parking lot. The arch is beautiful and the landscape all around is very pretty. There were about 50 people there but everyone kinda spread out. There was a group standing in front of the arch but you could still get great photos. Best part of my Utah trip for sure!

Chrissy Costigan — Google review

Buy park ticket in advance online. We went to watch the sunrise at 5am so no wait and it was beautiful! Mesa arch at sunrise is stunning! It gets busy so get to this spot well before sunrise.

Kelly Krajnik — Google review

What a treat to see a beautiful arch with such a short walk. My fellow photographers were very polite and taking turns. You can get a good picture after the sun has been up a little while as the rocks glow - at least they do in October.

Doreen O'Donovan — Google review

It is a 15 to 20 minute down hill walk to the Mesa Arch. There is slow a short trail by the arch. Bring water, take your time getting back.People coming up hill have the right away, definitely worth the walk.

Tara Golden — Google review

A really simple loop with an awesome viewpoint being the main attraction (obviously). Didn't get to go for the sunrise, nor the snowfall that began not too long after we left, but I'm sure both are amazing.

Parker Rider — Google review

Charming stop within Canyonlands National Park. We enjoyed the views and the weather on a cool November morning at around 9:00AM. The arch and the surrounding area are still quite impressive even during "off-peak" daylight hours. The trail was fairly easy (we made it a loop), but of course, it's not for strollers or wheelchairs.

Tom Allen — Google review

Nice little hike, almost no elevation. Recommend to get there by the sunrise but could be crowded and there is not so much space to make decent pictures. Also parking isn’t hugeBring water, as there is no shade on the hike.

Oleksandr Artiushenko — Google review

Sunrise is stunning. At the same time hundreds of people are there. I got there 2 hours before sunrise but the place was full already. There was a line of photographers who went there 3,4 hours earlier and they just didn’t want to let you squeeze in. As the time goes by, more and more people coming and you would have 2,3 lines of people standing behind you.So the place is nice but be prepared it will be crowded and noisy. Can visit during the day but it is not as stunning as it is during sunrise time

wanson luk — Google review

Great view during sunrise. If you come on a super random winter morning there will be no one. Canyonlands National Park is a grand park split by two rivers into four zones, showcasing sandstone spires and the Island in the Sky mesa. Accessible from Moab, which is about a 4-hour drive from SLC via Interstate 15 or scenic route 92 through Sundance and 189 before rejoining -15. Arches National Park and Canyonlands are must-visit places that offer numerous self-drivable formations to explore.

Astonishing and eye-pleasing, most importantly a really underrated National Park in the Southeast of Utah. The landscape of this park along with its majestic beauty will amaze anybody. By far Canyonlands is one of the best National Park in United states, travelers can have Grand Canyon, Zion and Arches National parks kind of artistry at the same time in here. A must go National park for hiking and recreation.

Sourav Kumar Ukil — Google review

Probably my favorite part of Canyonlands, the Needles has incredible hiking and views. There are parts of Canyonlands that are so vast that my brain can't fully take it all in. The Needles are up-close and personal and still a bit mind bending. If you can only spend time in one section of the park, I recommend it be this one.

Elyssa Braun — Google review

We did not get to fully explore this park but the views of the canyons were incredible! It does get very dusty and windy at the top so keep that in mind!I would go back and explore the Needles when we have a full extra day.

Nikolai Belinski — Google review

The canyon is something else, the views are amazing. Went to that National Park as Arches had an unreserved time slot for 4pm unless previously purchased a ticket in advance. Canyonlands did not disappoint, Happy it worked out that way.

Edward Eilers — Google review

Absolutely stunning piece of planet earth. Unlike many National parks that tend to be overcrowded, this park is massive and people are dispersed so you don’t really see anyone else. We drove White Rim Road during Thanksgiving (spent two nights on the trail) and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the trip. I highly recommend White Rim Road in Canyonlands National Park and can’t wait to do it again.

Craig Marolf — Google review

Okay well this is our first visit to this amazing and beautiful park. The staff at the visitor center is amazing and very helpful. They have a water place inside to fill up water. We stayed at the willow flat campground which is very nice and very close to a lot of different hikes. The view points around the park are amazing that are hard really get you to some amazing sites.

Team Ultimate Exposure William & Bug — Google review

Canyonlands' breathtaking vistas and intricate rock formations paint an awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature's artistry. The play of sunlight across its rugged terrain creates a captivating symphony of colors, showcasing the ancient geological history etched into every canyon wall.

Maithreyi Prabhu — Google review

This national park was one of my favorites while on our small road trip. This reminded me so much of the Grand Canyon, but less busy. We went there on a Friday and it was quiet. We were able to do quite a few trails with ease. Bring water, it’s hot with little to no shade.

Steph Gore — Google review

This park is unreal! The Visitors Center has the most amazing canyon view just across from the parking and it only gets better from there. They have a very creative, interactive display on the local geology in the Visitors Center. I visited in early November and I had no issues with crowds or parking. The weather and sights were gorgeous! I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Winter Gary — Google review

One of the most epic things I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend white rim trail; less busy than grand view and offers a slightly different lanscape. Also— cleanest outhouse I’ve ever used at white rim trail.

Emmett Blaney — Google review

Underrated national park. The north and the south sides are not connected. Camp facilities are good. This park has less visitors, so you can enjoy the quietness in most of the points. Some points do require some serious hiking. My favorite point is the Upheaval dome.

Ora Ora Ora Ora — Google review

Amazing Park. Recommend hiking Mesa Arch very first thing in the morning (6/7am) so you get the view all to yourself. I would then recommend hiking Upheaval Dome (do bring water). Then to top it off, drive to the grand view point for an overlook and a pretty easy flat platform stroll.

Raymond — Google review

Plan ahead for some driving time. There was a wait to enter, about 30 minutes, but it's totally worth it.Breathtaking views, lots of hiking trails. I definitely recommend a visit. It did NOT require an advance booking like Arches did. Arches required it, even though the website said it didn't when we checked. For Arches,I recommend calling and confirming the day before so you can book a time.

Joe Slayden — Google review

I was only able to do the island in the sky section which was really cool. You can see all the trails in the canyon for 4wd cars. Not my favorite national park but still pretty amazing.

Daniel Korman — Google review

A beautiful, sweltering hot park in the summer. We visited 2/3 of the districts, Island in the Sky and Needles. In Needles, we did the 6 mile Chesler Park hike to the viewpoint in brutal 100 degree heat before turning around. We did not complete the whole 10 mile loop. If you do decide to hike here in the summer, bring an umbrella for shade and a ton of water. There are several crevices in the park that provide shade but the umbrella was essential when hiking long stretches without any rock formations nearby. Other notable hikes in this district include Cave Spring Trail and Pothole Point. In Island in the Sky, the highlight was Mesa Arch at sunrise and the Grand View Point Overlook hike. Other hikes we did included Upheaval Dome, Whale Rock and a bunch of short overlook hikes. Get a head start if you’re hiking in summer to beat the heat. Overall this is a beautiful and vast park. Although they look extremely close, the driving time between these two districts is over 2 hours.

Aliza Brown — Google review

Very pretty park, the views are amazing. I’d recommend driving all the road and stopping at the viewpoints and doing the short hikes if you only have a day there. I’d love to come back and explore some of the longer 4wd trails as well. Wasn’t expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the park was. There was no line to get in, while arches NP had 45 min wait and timed entry just to get in. Canyonlands NP is definitely worth the visit.

chris landadio — Google review

Beautiful and scenic at every stop. It was surprisingly busy on a Friday but we eventually found parking at each viewpoint . I haven’t been to the Grand Canyon in years but this was equally impressive in my opinion. The vistas were stunning and the way the scenery changed at each turn was amazing. As usual the photos don’t do Justice to the size and depth of the area.

Jacque Lane — Google review

This is an amazing national park - vast! Truly, the breadth of it is breathtaking!Try to catch the sunset at Grand View point overlook. I’d recommend doing the in-and-out hike. The views are amazing at the end of the hike. The green river overlook is gorgeous too! We didn’t do the mesa arch since we’d seen a lot of arches that morning. The park actually has two parts - one is along the road of Island in the sky visitor center. The other one is by the needles visitor center(closed during winter).

Beautiful pair of canyons in the middle of nowhere. Plug "Coal Mine Canyon" into your gps and you'll be taken to the entrance off of 264. You don't need a 4 wheel drive vehicle as it has been suggested, my Nissan Sentra was able to handle the drive perfectly.

Chris Sanders — Google review

Highly recommend! After reading others directions in the reviews, it was very easy to find. We had rented a mini van that was low to the ground and had no trouble getting right to the edge of the canyon. The views were remarkable! Only two other people there while we were there.

Jeremy vestal — Google review

Love this place!! I hope that it stays a local secret. If you plan to go you MUST get a permit from the reservation. The canyon is on private property. I photographed an adventure anniversary session here in the summer!! Love this spot for an Arizona Elopement.

There were some Navajos selling jewelry, so be aware that if they are giving you a tour, they will either want you to buy their jewelry or at least provide a tip at the end. If you do not want to, then politely let them know, "No. Thank you."I have to say it was very nice to talk with the gentleman who was showing us the dinosaur tracks. Yes, we did give him some money, but it was a pleasure talking to him and having him show us around.

adriane s?ra price — Google review

There was a very nice young man that volunteered to take us on a tour just for tips. He was very knowledgeable and we learned so much! Definitely worth a good tip. We would not have found all the amazing tracks and fossils with our him! If someone is there to give you a tour definitely take it with them! Very cool!

derek hayn — Google review

Awesome spot. Might be the best roadside attraction I've ever been to, and it's free. Rick lives nearby and explains everything; tipped $7. Would be great if they continue to make this better with support from the community.

The Beach Today — Google review

Have a local guide give you the tour! It's a big time saver to have all the good stuff pointed out to you fast. It took about 10 min for this old grandma to show me around and point out even more cool stuff to me than I was able to read about online about the site later. I recommend tipping $10-20.

Pat Manly — Google review

This Place was AMAZING! We happen to run across the sign on the road on our way home from Utah to Texas and debated to turn around and im glad we did. 100% this is a must place to stop. Weather you have kids or not this is a place you will never experience anywhere else! There are 100s or tracks and fossils. Its amazing this place isn't more known. And if you stop take time to look at the hand made native jewelry. BEAUTIFUL WORK! This stop is definitely on our agenda for our next family vacation.

Chrystin — Google review

The trackways were certainly very convincing of being real dinosaur tracks. There were some things that were a stretch but overall it was very cool to see and our children loved it. We had no cash but the Navajo Indian that was there said he would take cannabis, beer or whiskey in exchange for a tour. So, I gave him a six-pack of an IPA we happened to have with us. Certainly worth stopping by!

Dalas Lamberson — Google review

I do not recommend visiting during tourist season. I’ve passed though here many times and the few times we stopped to stretch our legs we were never harassed to leave a ‘small donation.’We stopped here to let our young kids see the cool tracks that I saw as a kid. We were flagged down to park in a space near the track site and we’re asked for a ten minute guided tour for a donation. We had no cash on us. Not even a dollar, we didn’t take cash with us as we were only seeing family on the reservation. Once we said we didn’t have cash the lady who waved us down said “fine you can walk it yourself” which I already planned on doing. The same woman proceeded to ask us 3 more times if we had money for a small donation or tip. It would be offensive to give her the $0.80 cents I had in the bottom of my bag.We walked 20 feet from our car saw a few tracks and we’re yelled at by a man in the “tourist guide group.” He made us uncomfortable and said “We shouldn’t be here because we didn’t give money.”We left immediately. Very disappointing. Not a good look.

Jacynthe K (Jk) — Google review

Really enjoyed this stop (free, but donations appreciated). It's so awesome to walk in dinosaur's footsteps. Red Bird "Ricky", told us about the land and it's discoveries. His people have lived and watched over the area for generations. It was a very neat and informative stop, definitely recommend!

Brittany English — Google review

Amazing! You can walk around and see the Dinosaur tracks, just off the main highway. We were shown around by a lovely Navajo lady, they conserve the area and welcome guests to visit and explore for a tip donation.A really incredible experience.

Jessica Saxton — Google review

We were on our way to Monument Valley and saw a sign for this place. We stopped and were given a tour of the dinosaur tracks in the area by a nice elderly Navajo lady. She was very informative and we had a great time. Our group of 4 left a $20 tip. Our friend really liked the hardened Dinosaur poop next to some footprints.

JJS — Google review

Worth the voluntary tipping(no entrance fee), the tour takes about 10-15 minutes. It's just a quick stop on the way, and you can see some amazing prints and even partly skeltons (a few need some imagination).

Ralf Assmann — Google review

Very interesting roadside attraction! We had an unexpected tour guide who was an elder Navajo woman who had led tours since she was a young woman. She was very knowledgeable and smart, very nice. Our teens loved it.

Karen Hogue — Google review

This was a very nice hot place with an interesting history. We had a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable about the dinosaurs and the history. It was nice to be among the rocks and sand. This place gave me peace. My children loved it. Very original place. I highly recommend a visit. Be sure to tip the tour guides as this place is not funded and kept by the tour guide.

Glow Segay — Google review

A great, truly unique experience. The guide was very friendly and informative. He spent a good amount of time with us showing the different dinosaur tracks and explaining the history of the area. He also gave us some unique rocks as a parting gift. We tipped him $15 for 3 people (but he didn't pressure us for money and didn't specify an amount)

Peter Smith — Google review

Made a quick roadside stop. There were a few Native people waiting for tourists. One women approached and offered a tour for tips. It was interesting and she pointed out footprints, vegetarian and other interesting looking rocks/ fossils and formations. It was a great way to take a break from the car.

Michelle Cooley — Google review

The tour guide is so cool! Do not expect a deep geologic interpretation but he is prepared. My daughter enjoyed the tour. Please leave a tip or buy something. They are very welcoming and nice. Cool stop coming from Horseshoe Bend!

Cameron Trading Post offers a comfortable stay in a southwestern-style motel with an art gallery, restaurant, and beautiful garden. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, and well-maintained. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the surroundings from both the hotel and the restaurant, especially during sunset. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The on-site store features a variety of items, with Native American pottery and rugs being particularly noteworthy.

My brother and I stopped by here for some authentic Navajo cuisine on our way to Flagstaff. I had the Navajo taco and he had the beef stew on fry bread. We were not disappointed - the fry bread had a slightly crispy outer layer and chewy interior that went very incredibly well with the toppings on our respective dishes. We also stopped by the gift shop and got Navajo sand paintings. I was impressed by the variety and the relative affordability of what they had on offer.

Robin Zhang — Google review

I stopped by the trading post here on my way home 3 months ago. I was looking for some beautiful jewelry and I absolutely found it, along with great help. The man behind the counter (Alan, I think) was the sweetest, most helpful man I came across on my trip. I wasn't quite ready for how high quality turquoise was and he was very generous with his time and patience to help me find some beautiful pieces. I love these 2 bracelets I got and wear them as often as I can. And everyone comments on their beauty. I highly recommend this store to anyone on a trip through the Grand Canyon. They had so much, and were so helpful and nice, when I'm sure many tourists don't make it easy. Thank you all very much!

Sarah White — Google review

The shop is wonderful! There is a snack section, tons of jewelry, crafts, art, pottery, blankets etc.personally purchased blankets, a handmade Navajo basket necklace and a turquoise ring. The staff in the shop were very friendly and informative.Went to the garden they have in the motel section (we did not stay there just stopped by) but beautiful and peaceful and clean. Then stopped in the dining area to eat. Came with a large group. Staff was friendly, prompt and accommodating. Ordered a Navajo taco and it was delicious! Everything that our group ordered was fresh and tasted great!Last but not least you must stop at the gallery it has a lot of beautiful history and culture! Full of statues, pottery, clothing displayed. This is a one stop shop! Really neat to see the history and the beautiful culture.

AMLEON — Google review

Visited the restaurant and shop only. Restaurant is beautiful, great service and delicious food. 4 stars!Shop was just okay. Not quite up to the hype of the freeway signs - we were in the area anyway. About 1/3 of the shop is very nice, authentic Native made jewelry, pottery etc.The rest is the typical souvenir 'stuff'. Not as big as we thought it would be. 3 stars.

Jean B — Google review

We stopped on our trip out of the Grand Canyon to have dinner and do a little browsing in the shop. The food was very, very good! We were all surprised that each portion was so large and we're from the Midwest, so we even expect large portions. The two people who waited on us were very nice. They also have a large selection of souvenirs to choose from. Prices are about the same as everywhere else in the area.I highly recommend the stop, especially if you're in need of a hot meal.

Snow Trottier — Google review

Are room was gorgeous. The whole place was wonderful and the people are nice. Loved the blue towels in the room.Price to very well. Love to earth stay! However, I do wish they would have had extra pillows rather than one sick, two pills pert However, I do wish they would have had extra pillows rather than one thick pillow per person. Pillows were too thick for both of us, and there were no extra towels to fold and use as a pillow. For towels, they just give you one set per person and no extras.

Kate Me — Google review

We were hungry for lunch and decided to give this place a try. The Navajo taco was something we have never heard of and we were glad we tried it! The peppers were spicy and we do advise eating the taco before the meat and beans get the soft taco shell too wet. The real treasure about this place is the gift shop. The handmade Navajo pottery is breathtaking! We picked up a clay Christmas ornament from the shop. The salesperson was helpful in sharing with us who made the ornament and the meaning of all the symbols on it.

Grant Heil — Google review

We can’t comment on the rooms since we only stopped for the Navajo tacos. I live in Missouri now, but lived in Oklahoma around 9 tribes for 20+ years where I was first introduced to “Indian Tacos” and they’re just absolutely divine. I was so excited to see a restaurant serving them. We got the hot beef taco and the Navajo taco. I’m so disappointed. Nothing was seasoned. Some of the brown beans were still crunchy and undercooked. I got maybe two tablespoons of salsa for this face sized taco. The hot beef tastes like a frozen Banquet meal. The food definitely looked beautiful. Beautiful only on the outside. I wanted to love it.

Cortni Lawson — Google review

Cool historic trading post. This building and the motel are quite nice. We always stop here on our way through. Very nice restrooms, plenty of parking, good location. Want more stars? Please bring the RV park up to the same standards. It wouldn't take much, some hookups don't work, sites aren't level, the whole thing looks neglected. Price and location can't be beat, just shabby🤔

Dave Hanley — Google review

Fine food, big portion sizes, probably as good as it gets given the location. The dining area is super large and it’s fun to walk through the store (make sure to wear masks, they also provide at entrance). Ordered a burger (ok but not memorable). We also got a cheesy garlic pull apart bread appetizer which was way bigger than expected and the quality of ingredients tasted just so-so. Quick and friendly service, probably one of the better options after watching the sunset at Grand Canyon!

Audra W — Google review

Me and my mom were on a road trip down to Phoenix for a Dead & Company concert and we stopped by for breakfast. The food was absolutely top notch. Service was stellar and the ambiance made me feel like I stepped back into 1920. Amazing wood worked furnishings from a time when carpenters considered themselves artist. Old fashioned stamped tin ceilings. I love this place.

Matthew Ewing — Google review

We dined inside the beautiful restaurant here at the Cameron Trading Post. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious! We tried their famous Navajo tacos that came with a bean/ground beef mixture, salsa, lettuce, tomato, green chilies and cheese on a piece of yummy fry bread. None of us had leftovers! We also tried the kids hot dog and French fry meal which was good. The three grilled cheese is also very cheesy and the cheese comes between three large slices of bread. The store, that you have to go through to get to the restaurant, has many items you can purchase like cactus candy, jellies, and homemade fudge. They have 2 bathrooms close by each other. One set of them was very clean and nice, the other set was not.Other than that, we had a lovely time stopping here!

Ronalyn DeBlois — Google review

To call this a Motel is so underselling what you get here. I stayed in room 218 for a night in September 23 and wish I had booked for longer. The room was amazing / bigger than many flats/apartments- it had a huge lounge with comfy sofa, dining table and kitchenette. The bedroom was also a great size with another TV, massive closet and ample storage. The location on the way to the Grand Canyon was spot on.The shop has to be seen to believed anything you can think of you can get here and the restaurant was great too

Julie Parfitt — Google review

We were very tired and found this spot without knowing anything about it. We were so surprised. The room was clean and comfortable with great air conditioning. The price was reasonable. Staff were all helpful and positive. We had to go outside and look at the stars which were beautiful and in the morning we saw what a beautiful place it was with such lovely scenery. The store has good food and amazing art work and jewelry. I loved everything about this place.

Ah Jodie — Google review

This was a recommendation from one of the front desk associates at our hotel when we mentioned we were headed to the Grand Canyon this weekend. We ended up being hungry right around the time we were near here, so decided to stop in.The trading post is beautiful, with lots of stunning handmade crafts. The smells from the restaurant were enticing so we were looking forward to trying it out. That being said, my meal unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. I had the Navajo taco and was really excited about trying it, but found it to be very bland. There was no spiciness (or even much seasoning)- and while I did like the concept of the dish (having never tried it before) I thought the execution was lackluster. My son had a bacon cheeseburger and he actually really enjoyed it- and his fries were perfectly cooked.I didn't take leftovers because I couldn't imagine the fry bread on the taco standing up well to the wet beans/meat and not getting soggy over time. They are charging almost $5 a pop for sodas, which is absurd to me. I told my son to go ahead and try a milkshake instead since they were only a dollar more. He did *really* enjoy the prickly pear milkshake and it seems like a unique menu item which is always fun to find. To me it tasted both sweet and earthy- with almost a veggie-like flavor.Service was just ok. The waitress was not rude, but was a bit abrupt- and she never checked on our meal/food/whether we needed anything else until we were finished eating. If I was back in the area, I'd skip this in favor of trying something new/different.

Jaden Brulotte — Google review

What a great find! We stopped for breakfast and then spent 2.0 minutes perusing the many souvenirs and collectibles in the shop. Hubby had bacon and eggs- generous portions and I had the Navajo which was a blue corn pancake, egg and bacon. The waitress was fast, food came quickly and it was delicious. You can see from the photo my pancake was huge- you can’t see how good and light it was so just trust me. Great stop after the canyon for us!

Cathy Stopfer — Google review

Fun place to stop at on the way to the Grand Canyon. Good souvenir shop with a little bit of everything in it. We also ate at the restaurant which was very good! Tried the authentic Tacos with fry bread. A must try! Service was good, everyone was very nice.

LONI JONES — Google review

I don't understand why this is a 2-star hotel. Our room was amazing. My job puts me up in 4-star hotels when we have to travel for work, and sure, those hotels are nice, but they're all about the same, and the stars are mostly for the thick mattresses/bedcovers and sleek furniture and bathrooms (when we're talking about rooms, not amenities). But this hotel has character! It's old (maybe that's why it's only 2 stars?) but all of the furniture was amazing, the room was very large, and the balcony was freaking great. Sure, the bathroom is small like other budget hotels (so it can't compare to a 4-star hotel there), but I've never had such a large room space or a balcony in a 4-star hotel (yes, I know that's possible tho). Maybe I just like a bit of flavor. This hotel was made/opened over a hundred years ago, and everything about it just kind of gave off the sense of grandeur of back then - when staying in a hotel was a Big Deal and not an everyday thing. I don't know, maybe it's just me... but I freaking loved this hotel. Definitely in my top 10 favorite hotel rooms ever!

Cindy Michaels — Google review

We drove a bit out of our way en route to Horseshoe Bend to have a Navajo Taco for lunch. Our meal was delicious! The staff members were very friendly and took great care of us. The gift shop was huge and the restrooms were nice and clean. They had spots reserved for RV parking, which was so convenient for parking our 33’ motorhome. We even ordered an extra taco for each of us to have later. Would recommend.

Billie Hopkin — Google review

I work for a tour company out of Las Vegas, and for the past month this has always been our dinner stop on Day 1. I can say with certainty that it will always be going forward, but we've had great experiences here every time. Our tours have people from all over the US and the world, and I haven't heard one negative thing about the food here. The menu is large and expansive where there is something for everybody, and I always tell guests that the portion sizes are HUGE! I went with the Navajo Taco after seeing it on an actual billboard as we were approaching, and it's so delicious and filling. It's a beautiful restaurant as well, and when we arrive we're usually able to see the sunset out of the perfectly-angled windows. Cameron Trading Post is always able to accommodate our groups of 10-14 people, so it's much appreciated. I've had great experiences here to the point where next time I'm traveling solo or with family/friends, this will 100% be my stop.

Justin Bartz — Google review

Rooms are all new, spacious and immaculate. The views outside the hotel and from the restaurant were spectacular, especially at sunset. The staff at check-in counter were very patient and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and something different for a change- the frybread taco was delicious and huge. The store was lovely with something for everyone, but the Native American pottery and rugs were the highlight and worth stopping to see even if not staying or eating there! I am recommending this as a stop to family and friends

Ellie Cavanagh — Google review

The gift shop was huge and full of really beautiful Indian jewelry, artwork, and pottery. They also have a good sized section with snacks and drinks, and the drinks are ice cold! Restrooms were clean and well maintained! Staff was very friendly!

Craig Garrett — Google review

This trading post was very clean and had friendly staff. The restaurant was very nice – loved all of the Navajo and Hopi art displayed. The ceiling detail was so cool!! Also, the Navajo tacos and green chili with sirloin and fry bread was delicious. Portions are big! You could share a Navajo taco. They have tons of souvenirs, jewelry, and clean bathrooms for tourists and passersby. Definitely recommend.

Stevie Hudspeth — Google review

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms aren’t fancy but they are clean and roomy. We were in the Hopi building and faced the garden. It’s very pretty even in the winter. We had a Navajo Taco and we all thought it was really good. We’ve had them other places and some of the reviews said it was bland and I didn’t think so at all! We also had breakfast and I had the Heuvos rancheros and a sopapilla which was so good! I grew up my grandma made Indian fry bread with sugar and it was just like hers ❤️ service at the front desk and restaurant were super friendly. The ladies in the shop were less friendly and seemed kind of bothered. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!

Wupatki National Monument is a protected area that offers self-guided tours and trails for visitors to view the ruins of five prehistoric pueblos. The site showcases the amazing building skills and culture of the indigenous people who lived there. It has been reconstructed to retain its historical significance, and efforts are made to preserve it as such. Visitors can enjoy a beautiful drive from Volcano, take in all sites in the National Monument Park, and respect ancient indigenous sites.

I love visiting historical sites so I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Took the beautiful drive from the Volcano. Yes, some of the site was reconstructed a while ago but the site is beautiful and you get a sense for how amazing the building, and the culture that built it, was. I'm happy to see that there remains a focus to protect/preserve historically important sites and land.

Very neat to see. Would definitely recommend stopping. Make sure to pick up a guide for the numbers. I did include the brochure photos. Fun little reptiles running around and I really liked learning what some of the plants were (they were labeled) and some beautiful flowers were blooming. The blowhole was blowing today and it felt GREAT!

We absolutely loved our time here. We learned about the history of the area and the dwellings of the Puebloan people. The staff was so knowledgeable and very nice. Bathrooms in the visitor center were very clean. We went to all of the various locations throughout the park but loved the Wupatki Pueblo near the visitor center the best. There are picnic tables available to have lunch or snacks. There is a small gift shop inside the visitor center.

Omg! Worth every minute of the drive all of the sites in the National Monument Park is worth seeing! Please don't forget to be respectful! This is an ancient indigenous site!Oh BTW... the $25 you pay for the pass is good for 1 week so pass it on to friends or neighbors!

dani a — Google review

The family enjoyed a nice walk (approx 0.5 mile) around the national monument. We got to see many lizards, some trying to eat smaller ones, as well as enjoying the scenery at the monument. Using the trail guide we enjoyed learning about each of the numbered locations at the monument.

Dave Lein — Google review

This is a beautiful and inspiring place to visit. Reading about these people and thinking about how they lived and why they lived the way they did makes you think about the ease of our own lives. You can view all of the ruins from a short walk from the visitor center or you can hike for about 10 to 15 minutes to get down to the lower bowl where they had their sporting events. It is well worth the hike. There are other places to visit that are on the road to the visitor center so watch for them.

Lonny Ward — Google review

We there on Dec. 4. 2023 . This area my partner wanted to see back in April 2018. I am so glad we able to see this place . This such a great experience to see really pretty . If you are in the area you should check this out . On the say we there it about 1 of light left but we got some good pictures as the sun was setting .

The park rangers were incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The ruins are well maintained. This National park is a treasure. Highly recommend it. Check out the blow hole!

Demetria Andrews — Google review

Whether you are coming from Page or the Grand Canyon do not miss this treasure right outside Flagstaff. This beautiful locale allows you to look at preserved Native American dwellings. Allow yourself a solid 2 hours to take this all in. Also don't miss Sunset Crater right next door.

Richard Grant — Google review

We had our senior annual pass, which was valid for this monument. According to a sign outside the visitor centre, it seems that if you’ve already paid for entry to Sunset Crater Volcano, you get entry here as well.Interesting looking ruins. You park at the visitor centre and there is a short walk to the site. There are other pueblos, but they are spread out and you’ll have to drive.

Nicole Chu — Google review

Nice place where you can see up close some ancient pueblos. We have the 4th grader America the beautiful pass so we were able to get in for free and was definitely worth a quick visit. Not sure I'd pay for it. That said, if you're into history and this type of thing, it's a super cool place to check out. It's easy to access the pueblos even with kids

Moshe Segal — Google review

Very informative at visitors center. The drive though pare was very easy and beautiful. You are able to view a lot with out strenuous walk.

Matthew Barbee — Google review

Another beautiful ancient site in Arizona. Love this history and seeing how indigenous people lived. Very nice visitor center and well kept national park site. The drive to the site takes you through volcanic grass lands. Arizona has many different faces. Don’t miss it.

Brian Decker — Google review

Absolutely amazing place. Highly recommend. Easy walks and small hikes to view ruins. Views are incredible.

Alanna Piercy — Google review

Wupatki National Monument is a captivating site that offers a glimpse into the ancient world. Although many of the ruins have been rebuilt, the historical and cultural significance is still evident. The scenic drive and periodic stops provide stunning views of the Pueblo ruins, and it's a great addition to a visit to Sunset Crater National Monument. The well-paved paths, informative guides, and well-maintained trails make navigation easy. The clean facilities, friendly staff, and the opportunity to explore multiple ruins make it a worthwhile visit. Combine it with Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument for an unforgettable journey.

Grandview Point is a popular scenic overlook in Grand Canyon National Park, situated at an elevation of 7,399 feet on Desert View Drive. The viewpoint provides breathtaking panoramic views of the colorful canyons, ridges and the winding Colorado River. Visitors can also catch sight of prominent buttes such as Rama Shrine, Krishna Shine, Vishnu Shrine and Shiva Temple.

We spend their our early morning at 05:30 to see the sunrise… we can definitely recommend this place to see this - it will be a special moment! You need to be there around 15min prior the sunrise! 1h prior is perfect to have a night view on the canyon! We recommend to wear a warm jacket, in the morning it’s almost freezing.

One of my favorite stops during my visit at the South Rim. Saw a lot of cool and some interesting plants. I found myself enjoying the view more away from the tourist attractions. Spent most of my time alone around the cliff sides sifting through the rocks on the ground and found some pretty neat looking rocks!

N V — Google review

Truly a grand view TourByJason on Viator gave us! Very accommodating on helping us view this amazing look out! Always there to snap a family photo or a short TicTok video!

Jason Malone — Google review

Beautiful view from Grandview Point 12 miles south of visitor center. Take time to enjoy the 1 mile long walk along the rim at this location. Not safe for small children to be unsupervised though.

Kevin Davis — Google review

Not going to lie, it was truly an amazing experience! It was much much better than last time I had visited Grand Canyon; I noticed that there were a lot more animals and deers than before; there are some restaurants and villas and has parking from time to time, and if lucky, you might find electrical chargers for your car as it was free! I am glad I was able to visit Grand C and can't wait to do so again! The only strange thing I noticed is that we couldn't find the river, as there was no water flowing which was really strange.

Title: A Must-Visit Introduction to the Grand CanyonRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Review:If it's your first time visiting the Grand Canyon, this is the perfect spot for your grand introduction to this awe-inspiring landscape. Prepare to be captivated by a breathtaking view that stretches as far as the eye can see. It truly lives up to its name as "the grand view."Timing is everything, and depending on the time of year and weather conditions, you might be fortunate enough to witness a stunning sunrise. I highly recommend this time as it tends to be less crowded, allowing you to have the entire spot to yourself. The tranquil beauty of the sunrise over the canyon is an experience you won't want to miss. The same goes for the magnificent sunset. Plan your visit accordingly and be prepared to be mesmerized as the colors of the sky blend with the canyon's grandeur. For adventure enthusiasts, a hiking trail runs close by, leading you to some hidden gems and offering unique perspectives of the canyon. Exploring these trails will unveil even more remarkable views, taking your experience to new heights.Convenience is key, and I'm pleased to share that overnight parking is available, enabling you to fully immerse yourself in this natural wonder. Additionally, car camping is permitted here, allowing you to extend your stay and savor the tranquility of the canyon at night.Don't miss out on this must-visit vista point overlooking the Grand Canyon. It's a truly remarkable destination that will leave you in awe and create memories to last a lifetime.

Really 2 words: Undesirable / Uncapturable. Was on my bucket list and glad I have seen it! The good LORD didn't disappoint. It's a must see!

Big-J — Google review

This viewpoint had beautiful, sweeping views of an area of the park that is often overlooked by visitors due to it not being on the shuttle route. This is kind of a blessing, because you will be able to see the incredible scenery with way less people than you'd expect at Grand Canyon NP. Although there is no shuttle bus here, this viewpoint (like many of the other viewpoints along Desert View Drive) can get pretty popular around sunset due to people leaving the park at the end of the day, as well as the incredible sunsets you'll witness here. If you have a car and the time, this is well worth stopping at

Gunnar Caya — Google review

To be honest we almost missed this one because it wasn’t on the shuttle route! If you’re driving it’s about a dozen miles away from the visitors center. It’s not just a roadside over view! This lives up to it’s name GRANDVIEW Point. There are some interesting info panels that tell about the historic Grandview Hotel that was previously there as well as info panels about the ecology within the ecology. Very interesting. A word of caution, this area is not safe for small, unsupervised children as there are many open areas without a railing. Patrons are free to walk about the cliff side trail. We visited when the weather was perfect! Partly cloudy and 72° F, with little breeze.

Aimee Mills — Google review

A really wonderful viewing spot. Other than some folks feeling that their special picture takes priority over everyone else being able to take pictures. There's nothing bad about this spot.We stopped in May, 2023. The weather was good and it wasn't over crowded when we stopped. Other than the folks who must climb out and hangout to take photos, blocking everyone else. It was great. The Grandview point also has a rest room for the comfort of its visitors. Parking close by, a rest room, and of course the views make it probably one of the best of the pull overs.Without a doubt, worth the trip.

Sponge Bob — Google review

The view is great. All the ignorant foreigners ruin an otherwise great experience.. try not to go at peak times. Been here twice in my life and both times the UN will push past and stand right in front of you everySingle. Time

Michael C — Google review

This is a beautiful overlook about halfway between Grand Canyon Village and Desert View. The parking area isn't huge, so you may not be able to find a spot at busy times. There is an area specifically for hiker overnight parking, but it's not exclusive so those spots can be used by day-use visitors if available. One of the best parts of this overlook is that you can walk a little ways down the Grandview trail into the canyon to get a different perspective. It's a great spot for views up and down the canyon!

Sunset Crater, an extinct cinder cone towering at 8,042 feet, boasts a one-mile loop trail offering views of ancient lava flows. The volcano erupted around AD 1064 spewing ash across an area of approximately 800 square miles and generating the Kana-A lava flow that forced farmers to abandon lands previously cultivated for four centuries.

We were there on Dec. 4.2023. We had Ben hear back on April 2018. We found this place simply awesome . Seeing the lava flows. Around and the nice walk ways around the Crater part is really nice also have nice trials to walk on to . There where area when come in to park you can pull off and get a good Picture of the Sunset Crater . And the Mountains behind you when there they had snow on them . It was really pretty to see.

Kam’s Travels — Google review

This is an interesting area if you take the walk through the lava flow. Other than that, there isn't much to recommend it. It's worth a visit but isn't a "must do." I'm not sure why it's called a crater. It's actually a volcano.

Dave Shultz — Google review

I found this volcano by accident heading north of Flagstaff, AZ. I went to explore it and it's really amazing to see a volcano from 1,000 years ago. Everything looks as if it's recent.

Ian N. — Google review

Sunset Crater Volcano is just twelve miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona on U.S. 89. I initially passed by and noticed it as I was returning to Flagstaff from Page. I had no idea that there were volcanoes in the southwestern United States until I arrived in Flagstaff. I noticed cinder cones as I arrived at my hotel off I-40 on the north end of Flagstaff. On my last day in Flagstaff, September 30 2021, I headed up the road to see Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. It is part of the U.S. National Park system so if you have an annual pass, it will not cost anything more otherwise there is an entrance fee is $25. There is a visitor center with restroom and gift shop. There are multiple trails to walk so I recommend looking at the website for this monument prior to going. One can drive through and see quite a bit but I recommend parking and getting out for a short hike. The really nice thing is that the Lava Flow Trail has an area that is handicapped accessible with an actual sidewalk. On this sidewalk trail, one can actually get great views of some of the cinder cones and lava fields. There are real trails off the paved area.Within the park, the Lenox Crater Trail appears to be the longest marked trail. A longer trail, O’Leary Trail, actually starts outside the park and passes through the northwest corner of the park and up to O’Leary Peak. This trail is about 9.6 miles, according to my research, and O’Leary Peak is an actual lava dome volcano, not a cinder cone. Anyway, the sidewalk-ed area has benches to sit and enjoy the views, peace and quiet. After my hike, I sat and just enjoyed the views for about an hour.I think that it was worth it and if I lived in the Flagstaff area, this is possibly a place that I would visit often. One thing to remember – though this is Arizona, there is actually winter in this part of Arizona as Flagstaff’s elevation is actually almost 7000 feet above sea level, that 1600 feet higher than the ‘Mile High City of Denver’. If you find yourself in Flagstaff and have at least a couple of hours, I recommend Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Wendell Jones — Google review

Lava flow is an interesting trail, easy to go with the family.

Jeslizabeth Aumaitre — Google review

Nice to see the lava fields. You can hike up to the top of the volcano and see the crater, bring water, it's a long treak. The visitor center has great people to help you with information.

Elizabeth Gerhard — Google review

Must visit! There were once 29 active volcanoes in this section. If you are a science buff and are intrigued with volcanoes this is the place to visit! The dark black igneous rock that remains there is fascinating to look at and to walk through. When we went, it was April but it was freezing cold. I was happy to withstand the weather for all of the natural wonders surrounding me.

Shruti Sanghavi — Google review

Very cool to see plant life growing in the lava remains

Ken Burrell — Google review

Been here twice and the second time was just as amazing as the first. It is the remanents of a 1,000 year old eruption. You can see spots where the lava flow stopped. You can touch the sharp 1,000 year old lava flow. You get to see the slow return of nature. It is well worth the stop and although we didn't stop at the ruins up the road this time, that is also well worth the drive.

Kevin Werner — Google review

“The Cinders” as its known is a wonderful place for quads, dirt bikes Razors and such. Everything from flat land to challenging hills and spectacular views.

Tom Cross — Google review

We lived in Flagstaff and found this park to be our favorite. Everybody just drives the road and parks at the turnouts for a quick view. Get out and walk on the ash looking for spring flowers. You can't climb the peak but there is still a lot of space to explore. Don't forget the nearby Wupatki Monument while you are there. Winter is cold but magical.

David Weber — Google review

This was my second visit and there was snow covering part of the landscape & it was still pretty awesome. I really like the long loop trail as you tend to get a better feel for the beauty and intent of the landscape.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum in Arizona offers a unique experience for aviation enthusiasts. Visitors can see a variety of aircraft up close, including ones with personal significance like those from specific military squadrons. The tram tour provides informative insights about each aircraft, and visitors can also explore further on foot. It's a great place to visit with family and friends who share an interest in aviation history.

Officially closed, Thank God we met Jeff outside and with Larry, he gave us a great tour. They let us go into several planes and had patience for all of our questions. Highly advised. They plan on opening it up for official tours starting this summer.(To note, it's a great way to break up your drive from Flagstaff to the Grand canyon)

Moshie Levy — Google review

Went today, it says closed but Mike saw us taking pictures outside and was nice enough to let us in and give us the tour. They give tours but plan to open in full in the summer. Great place!

GAIL GONZALEZ — Google review

My first time to the planes of Fame Museum in Arizona. Saw quite a few aircraft that I've never seen up close before. But I never expected to see a aircraft with 3rd Marine Air Wing markings where I was stationed right next to a A7 Corsair with tail markings from my brother's Squadron in China Lake. What a coincidence to have two aircraft side by side one for my brother's Squadron one from my Squadron when we were in the service 30 years ago. Take the tram tour as the guys are very helpful and informational on every aircraft that we asked about. And if you see one that catches your eye after you get off the tram you can walk over to it for closer inspection. I cannot wait to take my grandkids there along with my brother and show him the two aircraft sitting side-by-side from our squadrons.
